Screech

Screech is a Meowlt all his own. Once he sets his mind to something that is exactly what he's going to do or rather not going to do. He doesn't take lightly to being ordered around as he holds two natures: one of cat and one of owl. The cat side tends to win out as he lazes about then gets sudden bursts of energy where he zooms around the house that he allows a certain Faebug to share with him. Sometimes in these bursts of energy he can be seen bounding sideways with his back arched as he displays his kitten, and owlet, side.

But for the most part he is the comfort companion of Hanako. At least that is what he allows himself to be called. He enjoys spending the early morning hours sprawled out on Hana's bed as the Faebug busies herself with preparing for the bookshop to be opened downstairs. Once he feels his napping hours are over, he'll bounce down the stairs to the bookshop.

It is within the many shelves and corridors that he enjoys himself the most. He finds screeching and meowing at the guests and patrons of Hana's bookshop to be a favorite pass time. Though, he normally only goes after those that choose to act up and roughhouse around his friend's shop.

At the end of the day, once all the guests and patrons have gone away and the lights are shut off and the door is locked, Screech finds himself once more in the upstairs living quarters. By then his favorite place has transformed into the large bay window in which a book nook has been created. He loves curling up in Hana's lap as she nestles in for the evening. The smell of spiced cinnamon tea drifting through his dreams as they settle in for the evening.
