Orion is another character from the same campaign Umetaro was in. He was originally created for a circus AU we made. In this campaign, oni as a race usually has the ability to change into a beast form, or any animal of the player's choosing. Orion, as you could probably guess, is a lion and in the circus AU he works as a circus lion. People don't know that the lions they have are oni doing a show and not real lions. He also works as a "lion tamer" when he's not performing as a lion. In the actual campaign, he was a maiko working to become a geisha in a hidden village in fantasy Japan.
He's very lively and energetic. He loves to perform and draws attention to himself in both his actions and his flashy outfits. He excels in anything involving entertainment, including singing and dance. He's got severe dyslexia, almost to the point where he can't read at all. Despite mostly using he/him pronouns, he is nonbinary and fem aligned. He is the great grandson of Momotaro, and unbeknownst to him, Ume happens to be the one who got Momotaro to see oni as equals. (In this campaign, oni face a lot of oppression from humans and other mundane races). Orion is also completely oblivious to both Ume's crush on him and his own crush on Ume. They are simply friends and Orion happens to love him with all his heart, but not in a gay way, of course //s. He also gets very overly friendly with people very fast. When speaking Japanese, he usually addresses most people with -chan.
