Pip was the result of a secret meeting between an outsider and a Frostbite pack member. When she found out she was carrying pups, the outsider just left her behind in favor of being "free". This devastated the to-be mother. After she had the pups, and when they were old enough, she abandoned both them and the clan to find her mate.
