Shell is a small, shy ladybug who crafts shields for a living. She's a pacifist and prefers to use defensive tactics rather than raising a weapon towards her opponents, but will use her shield offensively as a last resort. She's constantly venturing around Hallownest to find stronger materials for her work, but refuses to explore Deepnest and the Abyss, as she finds them far too terrifying; regardless of how good the ore may be down there. After finding stronger materials, she's fully willing to upgrade shields free of charge and just wants to help keep people safe, especially with the infection growing stronger with each passing day.
