Foxfoot does not like others getting too close to her family, not because she fears her family's safety, but so that it can be assured that no one will get in between her and the ones she holds closest.

[History]

Before Birth:

Since he was a kit, Scorchface made it his goal to pursue what his mother couldn't become, being deputy. All his life he had become so focused on this goal, that he hadn't noticed he had an admirer he knew since his days as a kit; it was Cinderfeather, a beautiful gray she-cat, and long time friend. She had always been a supportive figure in Scorchface's life, but the tom just never seemed to be interested in her, or in anyone, he was always more focused on becoming deputy. She was starting to believe that she was chasing an impossible dream, when he had a sudden change of heart, telling her that he spent all this time chasing this goal, for what? It wasn't his dream to become deputy, it was his mother's. The two cats settled down together and had four healthy kits.

Kithood:

Foxkit was born to Cinderfeather and Scorchface, along with Ravenkit, Dapplekit, and Dustkit. Foxkit proved to be a feisty little kit, not afraid to bite full grown warriors that passed by the nursery. Most of them thought it was cute, believing she'd grow to become a fine warrior, one grew annoyed and told her "you know, they replace kits that they dislike. You might want to stop what you're doing, they might abandon you". The warrior's words went over her head, she wasn't so stupid to believe her family would abandon her for playing rough.

One day, while Ravenkit was going on about the rules of their new game, Foxkit asked the kits of another litter, Heavykit and Yellowkit, if they wanted to play (the more the merrier, right?). The kits were split into two groups of three, Ravenkit, Yellowkit, and Dustkit on one team, Heavykit, Foxkit, and Dapplekit on the other. Heavykit and Foxkit had the time of their small lives, and from then on would play together more, becoming very close friends. Heavykit and Yellowkit were one moon older than Foxkit and her litter, so they went on to become apprentices, separating the two friends.

Apprenticeship:

During her apprentice ceremony, Foxpaw looked over to Heavypaw, who paid no attention to the ceremony, he was busy talking to the older apprentice, Thistlepaw. She was discouraged, but brushed off her feelings and focused on her ceremony. During her vigil, some nagging thoughts about what Heavypaw's lack of regard for her ceremony could mean, but she pushed down those thoughts.

The next time Foxpaw saw Heavypaw, she called over to him, but he just padded over to the large apprentice Thistlepaw, who was leaving for a patrol. "Oh, maybe he didn't hear me," she thought. When they returned, she called for him again, Thistlepaw looked first, then Heavypaw, "finally got his attention" Foxpaw thought. Heavypaw whispered something into Thistlepaw's ear, before the two quietly slipped past Foxpaw to get into the apprentice's den.

The scene caught a few eyes, but left Foxpaw stunned. Yellowpaw approached her and sat down next to her, "he's been hanging out with Thistlepaw for a whole moon now, hasn't been paying much attention to me either". Ravenpaw, Dapplepaw, and Dustpaw came over and consoled their sister, they knew how close the two had grown to be as kits.

After that Foxpaw grew closer to her siblings and trained fiercely for battle, despite the peace between the clans, as a way to keep her mind clear of bad thoughts. This worried her mentor, but each time he brought it up, she just smiled and said everything was fine; pushing it any further would cause her to snap at him.

Warriorhood:

Upon receiving her warrior name, she spent less time on battle training, and grew into a more relaxed cat. The first couple of moons where fine, she enjoyed herself, but once her sister became leader, something felt different. Different may not be the best word to describe it, instead it felt like everyday was too similar. While her sister was able move up in ranks and make something of herself, she was still just a warrior. She began to stay closer to her family, bickering them and acting rather childish towards them, even towards Dustwhisker, who was younger than her.

However, whenever anyone would attempt to vent to her, whether it be about the clan losing their high ranks, or something small, she would quickly excuse herself from the conversation. It was noticeable and odd, but it's not like anyone could make her talk or listen. She kept a calm and cheerful demeanor otherwise, and was friendly when Riverclan moved in, although, she didn't make many friends as they all were pretty sad over losing their home, which sucks cause Riverclan has some adorable lesbians. If she was willing to allow herself to feel all her emotions, she would realize that she's dreading them leaving, as it would mean returning to the same, boring schedule she had before they came.

"Okay!" the young apprentice was eager to help.
"I didn't see any flowers like that the way I came from," Beepaw motioned the direction she came from with her tail, "so I don't think we need to check that way".
She brushed past Hootpaw and opened her mouth, taking in the scent around her. She looked left and right before turning back to Hootpaw.
"Where do we go for Borage?" She seemed calmer than she was a few seconds ago.
