Summary
She is often monotone even when she does speak, regardless of whether what she says is joyful, angry, or sad. Because of this attitude, she has had few friends. Chiyo does work part time at a maid cafe (playing the silent-but-cute type,) but she has never had any interest in getting to know her co-workers. Her only real freinds are Rini and Koto.

Relationships
Koto is strong, bossy, upfront, and always spoke her mind no matter who it was - qualities all of which Chiyo had never experienced herself. Chiyo began to silently admire her, and eventually just started always hanging out next to her. Koto immediately found this odd, and at first she did try to make her leave. However, Chiyo would always refuse without a word. Rather than fighting her, Koto decided to have Chiyo be her errand girl (which Chiyo seems to take pleasure in doing.) It gave Chiyo purpose from the person she admired so much, it's her greatest joy to recieve orders from her. Any time Chiyo is in danger or getting bullied, Koto will threaten them and scare them off. They have formed a strange but strong bond through this, and they could even be considered a couple. However, any time Chiyo gives Koto a compliment, Koto has no idea how to react and gets horribly flusted and shy (which Chiyo sometimes uses to poke fun.)
Rini (one of the girls she goes to school with) was insistant on being her friend and including her in activities. Rini's excessivley positive energy amazes Chiyo and often leads to interesting situations - and so she decided to continue spending time with her (although she still does not tend to say much to her.) Rini has never paid any mind to Chiyo's silent nature, always trying to have fun regardless.
