Design Notes
- Its frills move based on emotion! Frills up (like in its reference image) can mean excited/surprised while frills down/more against its neck could mean it's relaxed. Play around with it!
- Scale markings don't have to be exact! Just some random stripes and the occasional spot.
- It has two tails—the left one is reptilian, while the right one is canine. It has exactly three spikes on its left tail.
It's very passionate about its work! It hardly ever talks about anything else. Despite its inaccuracy in certain areas of its studies, it has come the closest to the truth out of anyone.
Fern is a soul (magic) specialist who has studied its nature, origins, and applications for most of its life thus far. It worked alongside Grimm for Moonshadow while she was in power in the Myna Kingdom and later Lily. It's the first (and only) person to successfully explain the sudden rise in soul levels on its planet, Silverdawn, and is one of few people who know much about it in the first place. Despite this, it tends to go overboard with its theories—most often blaming aliens for strange things that happen on the planet. It feels like it's the only one who really knows the truth and is constantly trying to get others to listen to its wild theories. It's often dismissed as being crazy, especially when it brings up its alien theories.
