Profile

Fionchaor comes from a house of notable repute and wealth. Raised to succeed his parents, he received a exemplary education from a wide array private tutors. Encouraged to sit in on meetings even as a freshling, he learnt early on the disarrayed state of elven politics. While the Gearglas line was wealthy enough to maintain a hold on their status, they originally came from nobility and wished for nothing more than to see a return to the old ways. Leadership was a divine privilege; not something that could be bought or swindled.

By the time Fionchaor was eleven, he had advanced enough in his studies that his parents felt comfortable sending him to the Asphodel Academy for the remainder of his primary education. While the the academy's lessons fell short compared to those of his private tutors, the social experience proved invaluable. They needed the heir to the Gearglas line to keep a tab on lower world politics and begin making connections—if not with the natives of Below than the daydreams who inhabit it.

As one would expect from his lineage, Fionchaor is nothing but well-mannered and polite. He excels at navigating any number of social situations and, despite the disdain that elves are known for, does not talk down to those beneath him. He treats all individuals with a certain amount of respect, even those mentally, socially, or economically lesser than himself. His excellent manners should not be confused for empathy or tolerance however. He is ruthless in pursuing his goals, and has no pity when it comes to meting out justice. He does not shy away from the burden of responsibility. In fact, he is willing to take on more than most. He regards the failures of his friends and teammates as his personal failings, and strives for constant self-improvement. He is, without a doubt, a perfectionist, albeit a highly successful one.
