August

August grew up in a household originally hosting his mother and father, however due to a car accident right before the birth of his little sister April it left the household rather bleak. This ultimately ended with his mother in a deep depression for an extended period of time causing their daily life to slowly chip away forcing the small family to move to a shabbier part of town.

This incident initiated August to step up in place of his father and concentrate all his energy into work + study in order to garner a better life for his mother and sister. His marks in middle school landed him a much deserved scholarship to an all-boys academy across town in the affluent districts of their city. Spending a bulk of his earlier years attending under the radar until a suggestion from one of his teachers; tutoring. This thought was originally brilliant, leaving August to believe he could gain an extra chunk of change on the side away from his cafe job... plus the students here were wealthy. Very wealthy. Though, it all fell apart as one of his pupils turned out to be an absolute deliquent, looping him into gang activity under the guise of a school pronounced "club". To which he tried to weasel himself out of, but somehow almost always ending up in that damned class room regularly due to their antics.

This extra additive forced him into juggling multiple tasks to support his mother and sister since ends don't always quite meet with his single parent alone. He works a part-time cafe gig ontop of keeping up with the strict rules of his scholariship that has now gained an additional hurdle of being tossed completely to the wind because of some stupid gang activity he's been unwillingly binded to. He doesn't quite view the members of said crew as friends more-so nuisances to his life schedule; the only tolerable one being the academy's class present.

Also the remaining factor that this same band of fools has bad blood with a gang that happens to reign over the district where he lives. The idea alone that he is actually quite poor amongst an entire student body who would view his home as a simple guest bathroom already stressed him out. But now these people he's affiliated with harbor malice towards his specific locality leaves him in a frenzy almost every time they ask to visit his place. He always has an onslaught of fibs in order to direct them away from this idea all together. Embarrassed over his shabby home, but also not wishing to be beaten to a pulp by their scary "leader".

Home life is usually the only time he genuinely gains any peace of mind. He does spend a bulk of it studying, but also time with his younger sister April is always gratifying. He's very close with her and regularly allows her to dress him up may it be with accessories, make-up or nail polish. He truly doesn't mind it. She's one of the sole factors he works as hard as he does in order to let her live lavishly, to not stress over money and just live her life as a young teen in bliss. He doesn't mind the back-aching schedule if it means she doesn't have to worry about frivolous things. This is also why he keeps most of the stress a secret from her; she may be a bit air-headed, but there are times where she notices his lack in energy so she often takes him on outings when she can.

August tries to look out for his sister to the best of his capabilities, however she is quite friendly with the Color Gang that rule their area; not being apart of their activities but close to many of the members. Also, oddly enough befriending the same idiot who looped him into the gang he's now included in which he hates.
