After being banished to the Distortion World, Voltaire attempted to escape the dimension many times. However, the God's powers were extremely restricted in it's...prison. It was almost as if the Distortion World was made in such a way where the Giratina's powers could not affect anything around him - only himself. For years, Voltaire would frantically come up with ideas on how to escape, with none baring fruit. When he eventually gave up, he made the Distortion World his home - instead, plotting his revenge.

Voltaire's "Origin Form" was a form he came up with himself, taking the form of something much more diabolical and threatening, not only to travel the dimension faster but to also reflect his newfound obsession with destruction.

During his time in the Distortion World, there were prayers by a Mew at the man-made Spear Pillar. These prayers were ignored by the three other higher beings as their duties were of more importance, but for Voltaire - they were annoying, and didn't let the God even hear his own thoughts. Out of anger and frustration, Voltaire managed to manifest enough power to create a tear in the Distortion World. He appeared before the Mew, who would beg to be able to bare a child, he told her that her prayers go unanswered because the Gods she called upon have chose to abandon earth's inhabitants, that they didn't care about the well-being of their creations. But...that he would help her, just so that he could stop hearing her tears. She agreed, and Voltaire shared a part of his essence with the Mew - right before retreating back into the Distortion World. Galex appeared at Spear Pillar moments later, sensing the tear and coming to investigate the scene, however, there was only a Mew - who was now expecting the birth of the  "Prince of Evil Incarnate".

× Theme Song(s): Land Of The Dead (Voltaire)Up There (Satan (South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut))

× It is a pet peeve of his to be compared to the "Devil" or "Satan", since Voltaire views Aeon as what the humans call both "God" and "Demon".
