NOTES:

-Born in America before the war and was a newspaper comic artist

-Became a ghoul due to exposure to radiation when the bombs fell in 2077.

-From Boston, Massachusetts before the war, and stays there over the years wondering the commonwealth with odd jobs as a mercenary.

-2283, arrives in Goodneighbor and becomes one of Hancock’s personal guard.

-Leaves two years later and heads for New York, where he finds a Vault for US soldiers from before the war and creates a group with them inside the Vault. Officially becomes their head scout as he has exposure to the wasteland.

-The vault is found by Vale and Jun and the soldiers join up with her and head to California. (same group that Vale & Jun find that give Vale her nickname.)

-One of Vale’s oldest friends, aside from Jun

-Helps them to become familiar with America

-Kurtis and Ozzie do not get along well. This is because Kurtis is a ghoul, in which Ozzie has had a bad run in with when he was captured by the raiders. The raider leader being a ghoul. (Ozzie often saying to Kurtis. “Why’re you here? No one likes you.”)

Kurtis, a ghoul from before the war and one of the oldest members within the walls of the Fortress. Highly protective of Vale, Kurt self proclaims himself the bodyguard of the Fortress’s beloved leader. He’s often found close by Vale when Schwarz is not. Being one of the most skillful and strongest soldiers trained by Vale herself, as well as one of the original soldiers to join her, Kurtis can be a dangerous enemy to have and is one of the most feared. He can be defensive and hostile to new faces, and can have a bad temper, but is laid back when he’s familiar with others. He’s the Scout leader, often working hand in hand with Vale to organize the next scouting party to gather supplies and new areas to clear and take over for the group. He has full responsibility of the scouts under his command and has control of who becomes a scout, even to the point of training his scouts himself, as Vale trusts him greatly with this task. Kurtis, when not training new scouts or offering his protection to Vale, is often out scouting with his parties for supplies.

History: Spends months within his basement after the bombs fell, radiation leaks leading up to his ghoulification. After leaving the basement, Kurtis finds a young ghoul girl around the age of 7, who is ophaned. He adopts her, feeling sorry that a young child had to experience the ruined world as a ghoul and feeling that the child would need exceeding amounts of protection.
