When Otto was young, he was a terrible bully (most likely caused by the poor treatment he received from his father which made him seek out some sort of control). He went into the military right when he left school and really saw how horrible things could be.
When he returned he vowed to be as peaceful and kind as he could be and try not to resort to violence like he used to.
