Tóng Shòu《铜兽》

Literally "Bronze Beast". A Baí Zé/Hakutaku who was once a human nun, but was transformed into this bullish creature due to her hubris and as punishment for learning about exorcism by the gods. After her transformation first took place, she was banished from her monastery and is now forced to roam the land. Her travels have resulted in her encountering and becoming knowledgeable about thousands of demons, monsters, and spirits. This newfound knowledge has led her to create a bestiary, detailing instruction about supernatural beings and how to exorcise, appease, or outright vanquish them. She doesn't remember her human name, and with each passing century her memory of her past life fades away...
