Dr. Ellery Strauss is a mad scientist currently working for Matron, a monster-hunting organization. In the past, her experiments turned her into some sort of half-cat freak, and she had to move across the country to escape judgement. 

During her time with her monster-hunting team "Gunstice" (which she came up with the name for), she's come face to face with her past mistakes, built friendships, watched people die, saved lives, and found love.
