Sa'ree is the heir to be of the Mal unicorn tribe. Since she is the only daughter of the king and his late wife, she is constantly seen as someone who is to be protected. Thus she has been sheltered for most of her lifetime and as a result, has somewhat of a rebellious spirit (Though most of the time, she can't quite build up the courage to give in to her rebellious thoughts). If anything, she wishes she wasn't seen as a mere child and that her father didn't try to shelter her.
Even though she doesn't want to be percieved as weak, she is incredibly naive and dense, believing that everyone in the world has kindness in their heart, no matter how terrible they may seem. This leads to be her downfall, as she runs away from home the night her father arranges a marriage without telling her until the night before. She encounters her childhood friend Kaleb, whom she used to sneak out to meet when she was young. He is apart of the neighboring rival unicorn tribe, and uses her naivety and vulnerability to take advantage of her.
