Hatched alone in a burned-down house by a river, Ace is a fireless SkyWing with a passion for swimming. Half his tail was burned off by a cultist in the Great Mezzo Fire, leaving him flightless until he and physics teacher Starfruit constructed a mechanical replacement with the help of local tinkerer Sekhmet. Ace knows little of society, having raised himself in the wilderness for the first several years of his life, but he is eager to learn and eventually reach a rank equal to that of Grandmaster Merlin.
