Personality
Cherry is an excitably talkative ball of energy. She's a bit childish. She wants to understand humans and their culture, but Natalie is really the first she's talked to so she's still learning. She can be awkward at times, and tends to say or do things that might seem out of place due to that lack if interaction. This might show up as her lack of personal space knowledge, awkwardly timed jokes or too-quick replies, or to have other small things show up occasionally in her mannerisms. She is quick to trust, but not so quick to learn. Any grudge she might take will quickly be forgotten or forgiven.

Story
Cherry is a nature spirit tied to a cherry tree! She's in a forest mainly comprised of apple and birch, with her being the odd one out. There's an old previously run-down cottage nearby that suggests a previous inhabitant planted her, though it now is home to a cute girl named Natalie. Another tree with a soul is right beside Cherry's, that being Mackie -- her sister by choice. They enjoy taking walks together and exploring the forest.
Setting
She lives in a magical forest with plenty of other mystical creatures. satyrs, dryads, nymphs -- anything that's generally tied to nature has a chance of appearing. most of the inhabitants prefer not to interact with humans, and when they do it's for mischief. they think Cherry is okay, if a bit naive, and she sometimes goes to their gatherings. The forest itself is a mix of apple and birch trees, with a single cherry tree planted by a previous inhabitant that Cherry herself is tied to. Mackie's tree is right beside Cherry's, which is one of the reasons they've decided that they're sisters. Near the unusual addition is a cottage that used to be run-down, until recently when Natalie moved in. Like most forests it has a mix of landmarks such as hills, rivers, lakes, and a mountain to one side overlooking a town.

Abilities
| Plant magic | Being a forest spirit, Cherry has a limited control over plant magic. It was much stronger when she was a baby, and now that she's older it's mellowed out a bit. Her magic is strongest when it relates to the cherry tree she's tied to, and besides that they're limited to making flowers grow faster and manipulating small plants. | |
| Sewing | Cherry's knowledge of sewing is incredibly basic, and anything she makes is hodgepodge at best, she enjoys it. It's one of the ways she bonds with Natalie! |
Trivia
- normal Japanese Cherry Trees only live around 30-40 years, but because Cherry's has a spirit tied to it it's able to live much longer
- very strong AuDHD vibes
- even tho her life force is tied to her tree, the range is far enough to where she has free reign over basically the entire forest
Design Notes
She's a mix of Cherry Tree and Albino White-Tailed Deer. She has red hair that goes down to her feet and blue eyes. Her original outfit consisted of a hot pink shirt and gray shorts, but Broeckchen gave her a cute crop top in an ArtFight 2019 attack, and recently I got a a few new outfits from lordsatin!
- keep in mind that she has DEER hooves, NOT horse hooves. deer hooves have toes, while horse hooves don't!
- I'd love to see art of her in one of her alt outfits, or even in new fits entirely!
- If you're designing something new, keep in mind that she hates muddy colors and prefers either pastels or things that are bright & vibrant!
- she always wears two bracelets on her right arm
- I always forget to add them in, but please make sure to remember the cherry blossom leaves on her antlers!
