Following the events of Voltaire's banishment - after Mew left from Aeon's side, the God brought forth a batch of thousand of Mew eggs, and created two new legendary Gods: Cresselia, named Pleiades. And Darkrai, named Fornax. The two were a pair, one gave humanity good health, while the other gave humanity nightmares and insanity. For Cresselia, Aeon created a Jirachi - Aldebaran. Whom would be the demigod that aided Cresselia in her task of blessing the humans. And for Darkrai, a Marshadow.

Aldebaran was, at first, a cherry sort. The Jirachi would visit villages and towns often, attracted to those with pure intention (which moreso ended up being children), so that the Jirachi could grant any three wishes that the person wanted. After three wishes, Jirachi would leave the humans, back to the mountains, to sleep for a thousand years.

However, Aldebaran began to despise of this forced sleep cycle. Every one thousand years the Jirachi made a new friend, but when they would sleep and awake again - they would never see that same human due to their lifespans. It was saddening. But then, Aldebaran had an idea - to use a wish for themselves! That wish would be the very thing that ended Aldebaran's streak of blessings, the wish that the Jirachi granted was this: To never, EVER, have to sleep another day in their life.

At first, all seemed fine, Aldebaran granted a human three wishes, but then stuck around. When that human passed, Aldebaran moved on to another. Soon, the Jirachi found out that not all of humanity was kind - and the presence of the Mythical Pokemon drew in crowds of different hunters. Many wanted to force Aldebaran to grant wishes for them, many wanted to cage the demigod as a trophy, before long, the poor Jirachi had to flee. Escape back into the mountains, and remain there.

Many years would pass, no one would see Aldebaran again. For Aldebaran however, it was a different story. The lack of sleep was deteriorating the poor mythical's mental health. Aldebaran would continue granting wishes for wild pokemon, but many of them would return angrily. Aldebaran's wish granting abilities never grew weaker, but became more and more corrupted. Eventually, Aldebaran would embrace the corruption - and their wish granting ability seemed to have been fixed by it, however, every wish granted now became a monkey's paw. For one wish, instances of bad luck followed. Have you come to be wished healthy from a terrible illness? In exchange for being granted, you will lose a family member.

Pokemon began refusing for thier wishes to be granted, and soon, Aldebaran found himself extremely lacking in visitors. The Jirachi stopped warning visitors of their impending bad luck, and soon,  Aldebaran has come to find themselves enjoying the misfortune that come to others. To compensate for the loss, Aeon created a new Jirachi to take Aldebaran's place. But that doesn't stop Aldebaran from continuing their mischief.
