Traits//
Literature Lover|Introvert|Has to Know Everything|Silly|Cheerful|Detective|Easily Discouraged

Summary//

Easily the most notable trait Miranda has is her love of learning, and her desire to know everything about the world. It manifests itself in a desire to read books, though at the age of six she is not the greatest reader and so can only read simplified books. Since she cannot read very well, Miranda has taken to exploring the world around her by firstly, asking questions, and secondly going outside and watching the things that happen and recording them in her childish scrawl in her notebook. She records everything she sees and can write fast.

As well as being a lover of knowledge, Miranda is very much and introvert. While she enjoys having a social life, she does not like having big parties or being in large crowds and having to come up with conversations and stuff, it just gets really hard for her. So she stays quiet and in her own little bubble with maybe a friend or two. That also makes it way easier for her to do her notes and try and figure out why humming birds like flowers.

Throughout all this though, Miranda is one of the most cheerful kiddos you can meet. As she is still a kid, and since life at home is pretty great, she has a very optimistic outlook on life. She finds little things to make her smile, even if she is really frustrated at that moment because she can't have that thing she wants. Often, Miranda does silly things simply for the sake of doing silly things. They end up making others smile around her, and Miranda likes that. Even if she ends up getting really discouraged when things don't work out right, she enjoys finding things to smile about.

Out of all the things Miranda likes to smile about, being a detective is her favorite. When she grows up, she wants to solve mysteries for a living, but as a little kid, she likes to pretend to be a detective. She and her bunny toy, who she affectionately calls her sidekick, are often found doing pretend investigations to find out who took the cake from her felt food set or where her shoes went. It is one of her most favorite things to do, and Miranda wouldn't not do it for the world.

Likes//

  • Books. Especially the kids versions of the classics since, well, she is a little kid and cannot read very well yet.
  • Bunnies. They are so cute and they hop around, and so she likes them a lot.
  • Sweet Corn. It's one of her most favorite vegetables.
  • Spring. It seems so happy, and feels like the perfect outdoor book reading time, just so long as it isn't raining.
  • Hummingbirds. They zoom, and they zip, and they are so pretty. Miranda wishes she could keep one as a pet.

Dislikes//

  • Artificially sweet things, like candy. She finds them much to sweet for her taste. Her favorite candy is dark chocolate, however she really doesn't like much else in candy land.
  • Winter. It just seems so sad, since it snows and there are no more hummingbirds.
  • Camping. Miranda would much rather be at home in her nice comfortable bed reading a book than laying on the ground and needing a flashlight to read a book.
  • Sharks. They really scare her, and she has nightmares about being eaten by one. It was probably the TV special she watched about sharks but she is super scared of sharks.

Prized Possessions//

  • Her most prized possession is her stuffed bunny, who she called Judy after the police officer in Zootopia. Judy wears a hat that looks like a typical detective hat, and Judy is her sidekick whenever Miranda plays detective. Judy is a soft fleece bunny who is a tan color with a fluffy white tail and fluffy ears. Miranda is extremely protective of Judy, and has never lost the bunny. Ever.
  • Blankie is the most important blanket to Miranda. It's the blanket she has had ever since she was a baby. The color of blankie is a light blue, and blankie has little flowers all over it. Miranda likes asking questions about what kind of flowers blankie has, and if she can have flowers like that too.

Family//

Geno:
Miranda and Geno are on really decent terms. Since Geno works as a night guard, Miranda is constantly asking about things at the museum and the things he sees at night. She also likes it when he reads her literature, and takes time to explain things that she at six does not understand. However, Miranda want him to be really not very grumpy. She is always doing silly things to make him smile. She likes it when daddy smiles and is happy because then he reads better and she doesn't like it when he is grumpy and she at home. It is much nicer to have everyone in the house be happy rather then have daddy be grumpy and everyone else be grumpy.

Serenity:
Mommy always gives Miranda presents, and Miranda really appreciates them. All the different things that Serenity gives her create new mysteries for her to solve. Mommy is the best at hugging and when she has problems, mommy is always there to help her. Mommy also takes her to the library whenever possible, and Miranda is getting lots and lots of books. Then Miranda always has daddy read the books. She also likes to watch Mommy be independent when people are mean at the library or at other places. Miranda wishes she could be like mommy.

Sphere:
The biggest question Miranda has when it comes to Sphere is where does he put all that food he eats. He just seems to eat everything, and he gets really chubby. Her favorite mode of revenge when he picks on her or is sassy is that she pinches his chubby places. Miranda does not like it when Sphere picks on her, and so she does not really like his older brother. Does it matter to her that he is gay? She doesn't care at all about that, she doesn't like him because he picks on her. He is just the annoying big brother. Also, she thinks his name is stupid, but Miranda keep that opinion to herself.

Venesa:
Whenever Venesa tries to read something, and Miranda knows about it, Miranda will try to read over her shoulder. Venesa always has these really neat books, and Miranda really wants to know what she is ready. Of course, Venesa can get annoyed by this, and the way to get her off is to give her a piece of candy. Miranda knows about her sweet tooth, and tries to take advantage of it to get candy. She also likes going to the theater with Venesa to find out what Theater is like and why Venesa is always talking about it. She doesn't understand what a "Play" is, and she doesn't get how you write a play if play is for fun and writing is really boring. When Miranda grows older, she will understand what Venesa means by writing a play and will want to read all of her older sister's stories.

Katrina:
Miranda likes to run around with Katrina, playing tag and trying to get her into playing detective. Katrina always makes her happy, especially because Katrina has such a squeaky voice and is so fun to be around. Miranda do not understand about matchmaking though, and Katrina understands that Miranda is 6 and so does not include her in her matchmaking yet. She also likes to follow Katrina as Katrina follows mommy to the library and they go get stories together, even if Miranda gets more stories than Katrina.

Other Kids//

Henry Jr
Henry Jr. is one of Miranda's few friends. They play a lot of games together, and Miranda really likes him and his family. She is trying to convince him to play detective with her, but he really wants to play knights. She also wants to write down his tall tales but since she is six she isn't really good at writing them down. She likes it when he brings his brother too.

Popsicle
Popsicle is Miranda's bestest friend. In fact, he is the only other kid valki she has gotten to play detectives with her and Judy. She ends up taking the lead because he is really quiet, but he always comes up with neat ideas that lead them to these long convoluted games, or at least as complicated as a five and a six year old can. But he gets sad easily, and she wants him to be happy. Miranda doesn't like making him sad, but it happens sometimes.

Scottie
The little brother of Henry Jr, Scottie an often be found with the pair of 'em. Miranda can often be found making him laugh and laugh, whih makes her feel more happy in turn. She alo like hearing the cool things Hentry tries to teach Scottie, even if he knows them already. However, since he is a really little kid, it can be hard for her to play with him.

Other Grown Ups//

Zarcarias
Miranda met Zacharias when they were both at a playground and he was spying on someone nearby. At first, she was suspicious of him, but he was being friendly to her in his way and she warmed up to him. Eventually, she managed to wheedle out of him that he was a spy and he knew detectives. Since she wants to grow up to be a detective, she asks him a lot of questions about detectives whenever she sees him.

Valentino
It makes Miranda a bit scared when Valentino is just being there in fancy dress. He seems to be a lot more intimidating than Zacharias despite the fact that they have the same profession. He also seems to be so ad, and Miranda wants him to be happy, but she is a bit scared of him, so it makes it harder for her to be silly around her. No one is quite sure why she is cared of him, but she is scared of him all the same.

Scarborough
She finds him at the library. Miranda knows him as the library man, and she likes to hear him read. He has neat stories and Scarborough tells her poems that he writes. She is content jut to listen to the library man read when he reads out loud at the library. She likes his flashlight hat too. It's funny and makes her laugh, and he laughs along with her.

Morgan
Miranda likes to ignore Morgan. He is really annoying, and even if she finds him in the library she will ignore him. It is for the best, since they both are really kind of introverted, and she would probably annoy him the way he annoys her.

Henry
Since Henry is the dad of a couple of kids, Henry Jr and Scottie, who come to the same park she does even if they are a bit younger than her, Miranda thinks he is a very nice man who will let her play with his kids. She like to play with them even if she is a bit older than them. Miranda likes that he is friendly too. Because he is friendly, she is happy to be around him and play with his kids.

Clara
Clara is the mom of Henry and Scottie, and Miranda likes her because she is their mom and is really nice. Also Clara was a detective, and Miranda ask her lots and lots of question about it, like she asks Clara's older brother Zacharias. Since Clara is a stay at home mom, Miranda finds it easier to ask her lots and lot of questions in her cute little 6 year old way.

Harold
One of the things that Miranda has noticed is that Harold talks a lot about words. Miranda thinks that words are rather interesting, though she thinks he is boring because he talks a lot about words. She does think his idea of being an adventurer is interesting, however she doesn't have much cause to interact with him much.

Cassidy
Miranda doesn't have much of a cause to know Cassidy, though she thinks that him being a fisherman is very interesting. She understands very much that he is shy and doesn't want to answer questions, so she doesn't ask him very many questions when she does see him.

Evelyn
Evelyn is very calm and enjoys listening Miranda talk, however this does not happen often since they don't generally end up being in the same place. Miranda know what he looks like a little bit, but often ends up forgetting Evelyn's name.
