As a child, Geist was very shy and sweet, but very lonely and sickly. All his siblings were older than him by many years, and his parents neglected him, so he was basically free to wander the castle grounds and do anything without supervision. Because he was sick often he took to reading books, and that became a passion of his. (He especially loved romance and adventure books!) Geist really looks up to the princely and noble type of character in these books...it kind of awakens the realization that he's trans for him!

As a teenager with Cam he became much more outgoing and vibrant! He finally gets to discover how to give and recieve affection as a teen and he discovers....he loves love! Teenage Geist has finally stopped being lonely...until Cam is forced to flee because he is framed for the murder of one of Geist's family members. Geist spirals back into sadness after this...

Around 18 is when he is forced to flee the castle and live on his own. Geist only has his bodyguard, Juju, by his side. He vows to kill his father and discover the source of his immortality. Geist hides his soft feelings and loneliness under a cold and villanous-seeming persona for the next few years. He is incredibly paranoid and depressed at this time...

Around his early 20's he finds Cam again...and he feels those soft feelings again! He gets to express his loving, soft, kind self around Cam and his friends, and puts on his scary persona when on the clock as a criminal.

Around his mid-late 20's when he takes back the crown he gets much happier. Finally he doesn't have to fear for his life! He is a king along with his love Cam! Things are working out! Him and Cam start the Graves family at this time and get married!!! Geist is recovering from depression and paranoia here, so he has his off days. But he is happily in love with a beautiful family now, which keeps him going. His scary persona is in disue now and is now just a tinge of the dramatic that Geist uses to have fun, or something to use when he's telling stories or arguing at a political meeting. Instead, Geist chooses to work on being intelligent, loving, understanding, and empathetic.

Geist continues on this upward trend for the next hundreds of years! He becomes more outgoing and sociable to strangers (which is something he wasn't previously)...he becomes more expressive with his love and affection to his loved ones! He spends years studying, reading, creating literature and poetry and music...so he is quite creative, graceful, and well learned! Geist really blossoms and becomes the person his child self wanted to be AND MORE!

geist was the youngest royal child of the Min family w/ 6 older sibs and 2 parents who neglected him. his relatives die every year - either thru accident or thru murder...his family believes they're cursed. geist knows he is gonna be next soon and die young, so he spends lots of time researching dark magic, pacts w/the supernatural, etc, searching for a way to change his family's fate.

cameron and juju come to the min palace when geist is a young adolescent - juju as geist's bodyguard, and cameron as kitchen help, and they become geist's closest relationships during this time.

THEY LOVE EACHOTHER SO MUCH!!!

Cam and Geist are a very dedicated and affectionate couple. They've been together for hundreds of years and have supported eachother through the worst parts of their lives and made the good times better! They've helped eachother grow into the best versions of themselves!

Cam and Geist are open and honest to eachother. They confide in eachother about their insecurities and worries. Because they communicate so well to eachother they don't really have fights with eachother. They look very different on the surface, but they share values that mesh together, speak the same love languages, and involve eachother in their interests, so they work well together.

To the public, Geist is somewhat reserved and polite. But with Cam he lights up and acts quite silly and cute...he is the embodiment of the puppy eyes emoji. Cam looks tough and scary, but he really is a teddy bear around Geist. Cam loves to be bold and tease Geist and fluster him to see him blush...Geist can flirt right back and banter a bit but most of the time Cam makes Geist stumble over his words and flush in delight! Sometimes, Geist turns the tables on Cam, and ends up making HIM shy - often by saying something genuine and thoughtful about him.

Geist is very hungry for love and Cam loves to give love to him...Geist is really cuddly and physical with Cam and Cam loves it! Emotionally, both Cam and Geist need lots of affirmation and are fueled by caring and love. Geist likes to do things like hug Cam from behind while he's cooking, or hold hands over the dinner table. Cam likes peppering Geist with kisses and carrying him, bridal-style. Cam loves to call Geist pet names and pamper him, and Geist also calls Cam pet names, makes thoughtful gifts (songs, poetry, practical things).

geist's bodyguard turned surrogate mother as a child, basically. juju is strict and maybe over-protective, but caring in her own way, which geist can see and appreciate! then she becomes his mother in law after cam and geist get married hee hee

This is Geist's family as a child. Generally he was distant with all of them, because all his siblings were adults and his parents were busy ruling the country and expected him to die anyway.

His father especially neglected Geist, seeing him as just another sacrifice to living longer. His father eventually tried to kill him as well and blasted off Geist's hand in Geist's escape.

Geist deeply hated his father after that + discovering he killed the rest of his family and learning that he ruled tyrannically. Geist and his criminal crew ended up killing him and taking back Almagest.

Geist's older sister, Vaeyn, constantly tormented him for being "deviant" and studying dark magic. Even as adults, she went out of her way to use the force of her religious sect to hunt him down, believing that Geist is the reason their family is "cursed" to die.
