Summary

Novakai Arlordia, pronounced as 'Nov-aye Ar-lord-ee-ya', comes from the world called Endvinder and is one of the illegal hybrids between the Sacred Tribes; Celestial Tribe and Mar'kaai Tribe, inheriting both abilities. Inclusive of this, they have powers beyond deities due to the amount of Ren'Shee quintessence flowing within their body and also being trained all their life to fulfill the prophecy, thus becoming one of the most wanted and untouched criminals within the universe, despite their unwillingness to involve themself with the universe. After receiving a curse to brutally force, with inhumane concequences, to live up to the expectations of the prophecy of making the worst choices imaginable; deciding fates of an entire universe.

Later on, Novakai becomes an overseer and protector of a small group of individuals, constantly on the move and remaining in solitary, isolating themselves from everyone as a necessity for everyone's safety against themself. Starting to hunt down the remaining Eikloar and to save the last remaining Ren'Shee, even though both want to either devour or flee from Novakai as both deity fears and want Novakai's power.

Novakai lacks many emotions due to everything have had to go through in life, such as; happiness, joy, excitement, sadness, fear, surprise, love, envy, affection, pride. There are some emotions which Novakai chooses to suppress for various reasons, but when they show them, people can tell instantly how serious they are when showing these emotions; empathy, anger, frustration, regret, boredom, however there are some which Novakai has no control over, such as; enigmatic, calm, stoic, apathetic, brutally direct, indifferent, jaded, observant, vigilant.

Novakai has an inhumane level of self control, calmness, understanding and being level headed. It is near impossible to get Novakai to express their emotions and even harder to read what they are thinking or feeling. This doesn’t prevent Novakai from being brutally honest and direct with someone, especially when that person needs someone to act in that manner, even if it will hurt or upset that person, many rely on Novakai and respect them for just these factors. Even when meeting them for the first time, Novakai will remain to provide the same level of decency and unbiased or undiscriminating behaviour you, unless you prove to them you don’t deserve that level of respect and decency.

Being so self disciplined, distant and detached from everything and never smiling always puts others on edge or feel like Novakai is unapproachable when they don’t mean it intentionally, it is just how they are. Nonetheless, they have a talent for seeing people for who they really are and what they are truly capable of and Novakai has a habit of pulling that out of someone, especially at the worst of times.Those who know this side of Novakai share a deep mutual respect for them for this natural ability they have. Novakai can come across as being very laid back or half arsed considering the lack of interest in everything or willingness to do things. They will never make decisions for anyone unless that individual proves they require Novakai’s help and guidance.

Novakai’s communication is very restrictive and limited when they socialise,as they tend to leave the communication to others which the group under Novakai’s watch absolutely hate. Living in solitude voluntarily for practically all their lives, affected the way Novakai acts and thinks. Usually the loneliness would drive others insane, whereas it affected Novakai differently, making them more independent and in control of themselves and situations around them. Novakai will always have a reason behind their words or actions, being good or bad, but getting them to tell you that reason is highly impossible. The only ones known to get this out of them is Nero with some struggles or Chronos by using his mind manipulation abilities.

Role

Novakai is one of the main protagonists even though they act more along the lines of a side character. Their role in the story is very crucial yet they can’t be who and what they are without the other main protagonists in the story. Novakai would very much prefer to be a side character that doesn’t have to get involved all the time nor are they required to take action in situations, but with a prophecy setting out a path for Novakai, they can’t turn their back to their destiny and fate no matter how much they try to avoid it as there are many contributing factors which prevents Novakai from avoiding the prophecy.

In the first part of the story, Novakai had completely lost the will to live and only accepts that they are nothing more than a weapon or tool against the universe or the one that is having to clean up after the universe’s mistakes and errors. Its not until later when they meet Nero that they start to become less heartless and more caring about their actions or how others think and feel with the amount of times Nero kept on wanting Novakai to change.

After meeting Ace and Traum, Novakai soon starts to become more approachable and a bit softer towards Nero and some others, that Novakai became somewhat of a father/brother figure for the group as well as their protector. Novakai soon teaches Ace, Traum and Nero how to summon them in case of emergencies and trains the group. However, Novakai still tends to keep their distance to the group as much as possible because of so many reasons which they barely ever explain to anyone whilst they still continue to play the role of the ‘being’ stated within the prophecy.

Later on, after spending several years with the group, Novakai’s role in the prophecy soon becomes apparent and they have to make some terribly awful decisions which almost comes at the cost of losing their ‘immortality’ and the ones Novakai cares about the most. Once Novakai takes those chances and makes so many more sacrifices, Novakai then gradually starts to put the prophecy role behind them and starts spending more time with the group. This caused more consequences, suffering and risks for Novakai, but they would accept it all and suppress it as they continue to spend more time around the group.

Celestial Curse

When Novakai went missing from the Zaarkoal Tribe, Arativa had them in one of the secret bases owned by her father and took advantage of Novakai's lost will to live to further hone thier skills and abilities to become a heartless killer. Arativa inserted an extremely powerful, dangerous and unique celestial curse inside of Novakai’s right eye which infected the front part of Novakai’s brain and permanently changed their fringe to a silver colour. Any attempts of removal would cause the curse to unleash their true power sealed within, including the sealed away Ren’Shee power, to explode into a black hole or worse. One big enough to swallow the entire universe into nothing. Upon searching for Kolfi murdered Arativa which sent Chronos into a rage, manipulated Novakai's curse to be almost ineradicable and more dangerous as Novakai attempted to protect Kolfi from Chronos.

Arativa cut out Novakai's eye to implement the curse into their brain, which Novakai attempted to use magic to replace their eye, but failed and resulted in their supernova eye (read below). This curse was designed purely to make Novakai suffer and live up to the expectations of the prophecy role. Ensuring Novakai has absolute no options but to act out as this given role. Any kind of refusal would automatically initiate the curse, making the curse grow purple-blackish marks over their body, inflicting significant pain the more it spread. Being stoic, Novakai gets reluctant to show body parts with these marks however there is only so much pain Novakai can withstand from the curse. Since the curse resides within their right eye / brain, this is the area which hurts them the most.

Arativa is able to live inside of Novakai without a physical body and since the curse piqued her interests, she learnt how to manipulate the curse to her will. Once the curse becomes fully ‘active’ she is then able to access Novakai’s body and control it, even 'fuse' her body with Novakai's to create a diety like creature with features from themselves and the Ren'Shee. However this does slowly kill them, providing a short time for her to do as she wants and resurrect Novakai, with the unfortunate occurrence that Novakai will lose all memories after the point in time which they received the curse and they become alive once more t a completely random location in the universe, never where they died.

Only Chronos is capable of making Novakai’s curse become inactive to completely active, visa versa, within a split second, which scares many considering how dangerous this curse is and always makes Novakai become tense around Chronos and go on the offensive before Chronos can do anything. It’s not until after he helps Novakai stop Nero from rampaging against Novakai and causing so much destruction in the universe that he reduces them from being bound to live up to the prophecy, allowing Novakai to spend more time with the small group they look after and less time worrying about the role that the prophecy states.

Supernova eye

Ever since Novakai created the ‘supernova’ eye from their magic, they are unable to remove it from their eye socket. This eye gave Novakai even more abilities such as seeing aura and energy around all living things. Novakai can tell if someone is still alive or just playing dead via this ability as well, unless a creature can completely erase their aura for a short period of time or does not have magic aura or lifespan aura at all. Even though they are technically blind from losing their right eye, Novakai can partially visibly see through their right eye. However it all depends on the celestial curse and how much energy they have or how conscious they are.

Only by activating their curse, Novakai can use some visual abilities which Arativa has, such as infrared and capable of seeing through inanimate objects, however this increases the risk of Novakai losing control of their celestial curse as they allow Arativa take control of their body to use Arativa’s visual abilities. So they will only use this technique as a last resort. Activating the curse will also make them capable of seeing and hearing the Ren'Shee within them that do nothing by try to help Novakai regain control, but majority of the time they can't overpower the curse within them. The more pain Novakai sustains from the curse, the harder they are able to keep their right eye open to visually see the Ren’Shee sealed within them.

Impressed by Novakai's intiative to create the supernova eye, Arativa began training Novakai how to also increase their sight to see long distances. This sole purpose was to benefit herself to search for Chronos as Arativa had moments when she wanted her brother back, but Novakai wanted to hunt down Chronos to get him to remove the celestial curse and to kill him for good, however when Arativa realised this, she would always activate the curse to prevent Novakai killing her brother and made it harder for Novakai to use this technique if it was to find Chronos.

Their supernova right eye is often a way to identify Novakai easily as it is one trait that no one can simply ‘copy’ as many use Novakai’s name for that individuals advantage in so many ways. Novakai does sometimes wear some kind of covering over their right eye to prevent drawing too much attention to themselves and just go around saying they are blind in their right eye to avoid people automatically wanting contracts with them or demanding stuff of them.

Contracts

Novakai also works as a mercenary, taking on whatever jobs become available or they deem necessary to become involved in situations. Novakai barely ever does these as majority of the time it will be to commit inhumane crimes which makes their bounty grow higher and draws more attention to themselves. However when they had to take care of the small group of individuals, they took on as many jobs as they can to pay for anything that group needed to build a safe environment for the group and those who they take in and look after on a moon called Cysegir.

Abilities / Skills

When it comes to their powers, Novakai is considered worse than a god in power, but their reluctance to use their magic powers is blatently obivious through their actions of refusal of usage of them, only in emergancies or to prove a point they are too dangerous to get involved in situations or be used as a weapon.

They have a natural talent and skill when it comes to fighting or just dealing with difficult situations, however this is just mainly down to the training they recieved in thier childhood together with the amount of experience they have from being 'alive' for so long and constantly being dragged into situations from various individuals.

Novakai, with the Ren'Shee's quintessence coursing through their body, has the power of all elements imaginable, together with other various powers such as life and death, and does not require the need for any body movements nor runes to use thier powers. The limit to thier powers is down to how much their own body can tolerate at a time since the stronger the power they require for a spell, the more it drains their body and has a higher risk of letting the curse take control. They would only use their magical powers as a last resort.

Trivia

• Novakai wanted nothing to do with their blood related parents or Endvinder and they never speak about them, only those close to Nova really knows of their past. They fused together their fathers and mothers surname in hopes that their family can't be traced back to their family, tribes or home world.
• Novakai is abidexterous, however they are dominantly left handed.
• They do suffer from severe motion sickness and will always opt. into taking any other form of getting around rather than use any transport vehicle unless they seriously have to ride in a vehicle.
• Novakai does suffer from depression and eating dissorders, however it's not something they share with someone freely. You would either need to be around them to witness it for yourself to learn it, else you would be oblivious to all acts they do.
