Backstory
Born in a small fishing town in Veracruz, son of Ricardo Manuel Rosales Vahamonde and Aura Cristina Márquez Escobedo.
His father has always been known for being a very stern and hard working man, but at home he'd show his true colors, constantly beating his wife and children. Tristán's rage and resentment towards him grew over time, until finally at age 15 he was able to fight back and force him to leave.
However the abuse he suffered over the years took a big toll on his mental health, making him be very aggressive towards anyone he found threatening, so he'd end up getting into a lot of fights at school. After his 3rd suspension in a year, his mother decided to send him to the US with some family so he'd get the therapy he needs, and hoping the change of environment would help him.
He enrolled at a high school in NY and has been studying in the US ever since.

Relationships
 Jun [boyfriend] Jun and Tristán started out as roomates at the college dorm and quickly became best friends. Jun had a crush on him from the start but Tristán was too hung up on his past relationship with Chris to even notice. After a lot of angst and misunderstandings they finally started dating and now they are happy and gay. |
 Chris [ex-boyfriend] Chris and Tristán met when he started high school in the US. Tristán was overwhelmed by culture shock and the language barrier, so he was very aloof and didn't make an effort to interact with anyone, but Chris took an interest in him and was willing to help him settle in. Eventually Tristán started opening up to him and changing his attitude, smiling more often and being less angry all the time. They dated for a while but Tristán decided to end the relationship before graduation once he realized Chris couldn't love him the way he wanted to. |
 Mari [younger sister] Mari is 4 years younger than Tristán and very close to him, they love hanging out at the beach and playing sports together. Tristán has always been very protective of her, specially because of what happened with their father. She relies a lot on him too, but tries to show her independence now that he's away studying. |
