Raupy

Raupy is a Tobacco Hornworm (Manduca sexta) with human level intelligence and conciousness. He was kept in a research facility together with many other caterpillars. They lived in small plastic boxes in a laboratory and were used for research on viruses that affect the development of the insects. For this purpose Raupy was infected with Polydna virus, which prevents him from ever turning into a moth. One day the caregivers forgot to properly close the lid of Raupys box, giving him the opportunity to escape the lab. In the right moment Raupy fleed the building and he might be plotting his revenge now. As a small caterpillar, taking revenge on humans is far from easy. His plan is to start a cult of the caterpillar to gather enough followers who'll help him with his revenge fantasies.

Apart from his intelligence and conciousness he is pretty much a normal caterpillar. Eating as much as he can while not getting eating by something else is his main goal. Raupy doesn't enjoy the company of others and is happy to be free of the other "stupid" caterpillars.

Raupy was initially created as a joke character during artfight. He is based on the real life caterpillars I raised to pupation. When people started to draw him, Raupy quickly turned into a real character and a fursona. I also use him as a mascot and he is visible on my watermark.

Mandu

[🐛🐶] Raupy has no relationships with other characters as he is completely solitary, but he can still be drawn together with Mandu.
