Judgement

"Humans are pathetic, wretched little insects. They do awful, awful things and expect to get no punishment for them whatsoever. I'd much rather converse with a rat than a human, at least they aren't cursed with the initiative to go out of their way and hurt others for no good reason. But, unfortunately, conversing with humans is what I've done for thousands and thousands of years. I hate it."

This is the God of Judgement, called as such and sometimes nicknamed Judge. They've been around since the dawn of man, coming into existence during times where humans gained self awareness over their actions - deeming things as either 'good' or 'bad'. They act as a sort of filter of the damned that are coming through Heaven. Before people can leave purgatory, they must face Judgement and be deemed as a good or bad souls. Good people get the O K  to go through to everlasting happiness in Heaven, however those who are deemed as bad - such as murderers and abusers - are damned and simply fade out of existence. 

Judgement's job was easy for centuries, especially during the times of early man - a lot of crime happened, and it was easy to deem who was worthy or not. However, as society and the human awareness evolved, Judgement often found itself finding some decisions harder than others to make. People who get revenge on others for killing their parents, people taking it upon themselves to punish people who abuse animals, etc. Eventually, a middle ground was needed and thus Forgiveness had come into existence.

Judge comes off as very hard and unforgiving to those awaiting its final call, however to those that know them they see it for it's good sides. Even though Gods are often clueless as to how humans use such a wide array of emotion, and often just stick to being very dull and strict, Judge does have its soft side at times, especially when dealing with younger children and teens who have died. Nonetheless, they have to come off as terrifying and harsh to those it judges as to get the best and accurate confessions and make the best decisions, even if it gives them a bad reputation.

Judgement's body is adorned with gold jewelry and woven silk, gifts given to them by great kings and queens who try to use them as a sort of bargaining tool in order to win its favor. Of course, nothing stands in the way of Judge's final call, however it has come to like these beautiful garments.
