Stannis grew up without ever knowing who his father was. He was born into the Polish Circus "Festiwal o Maniaków" (The Festival of Freaks) which often traveled between the wizard world and the muggle world. His mother Lena was a Squib, an outcast like the rest of the circus folk. Stannis loved being with the circus and grew very close to his mother. She taught him many things like how to read, write and dance, boy did he love to dance. Stannis's room was shared with not only his mother, but all the other female acrobats. He picked up a strong fashion sense and helped the girls get into costume, occasionally putting on their make-up and doing patch work on their costumes. Though he traveled a lot, he was never short on friends as he had the circus animals and occasional visits from returning customers. His hate for other wizards came at the young age of six. Stannis had seen his mother crying over a letter one night. When she wouldn't tell him, Stannis got mad and went to the Ringmaster to ask what had happened. The Ringmaster told him that his mother was disowned by her family when she was around fourteen years old for not only being a Squib, but for being unable to do her chores. They claimed she was lazy and uneducated, when really she wanted nothing more then to go to school and learn like the other kids. The fires of his hate grew as he got older. One incident in particular bothered him the most, an angry pure blood customer wanted a refund after sitting through the whole show. Obviously he was denied and in a fit of rage, he burnt a tent down USING MAGIC. | Stannis received his letter of acceptance, but wasn't exactly happy about it. At the encouragement of his mother however, he accepted and left. During his first and second years Stannis realized that not all wizards are bad and grew more tolerant of them. He is still somewhat hostile towards them, but will at least give a pure bred a chance to "join his army" (he means be his friend)
