Dante is enigmatic as old. While their origins seem to be noble, they are unusually kind for a vampire of their rank. They don’t like sharing details of their old life, but it’s clear they left their original coven to fully dedicate themselves to their studies. They have a vocation for research and developed a rather unique view of life.

Their extensive experience and studies have earned the respect of other vampires, who are willing to forgive their unusual opinions. Dante, in fact, is uninterested in power and believes vampires — half-bloods and pure-bloods alike — and humans should cooperate. Dante’s interest in humans only grew with time; they admire how they were able to shape the world and evolve. They reckon human potential; they admit their ability to change along with the times is priceless. Furthermore, they admit seeing themself as a guide; eternal, their duty is to remember, study the world and help the new generations learn. They love Half-bloods for a similar reason, as they consider them the best way to save a coven from stagnation.

While Dante associates with Vittoria’s coven, they currently reside in an apartment close to it. They value their privacy. Their house is small and full of books and old trinkets they collected through the years. They share their living space with some crows and ravens. In the past, Dante used them to deliver messages, but they got attached and ended up keeping them as pets. The birds can often be seen flying around their house.

Personality

It’s rare to meet a vampire as welcoming and Dante. They enjoy helping others, and while they may not be as emphatic as a human, they are surprisingly understanding and willing to listen. Dante has a calm, almost soothing, attitude. They rarely show signs of violent emotions; in fact, it’s common to see them wear a polite smile.

Dante takes their job seriously, which occasionally brings them to make uncharacteristic questionable choices. Especially in the past, they have done things they regret. Unlike other vampires, they do not dismiss the sufferance of others easily: to them, it’s an important sacrifice. Even when they feel forced to make a difficult decision, they show signs of guilt and try to make up for any eventual damage.

Generally speaking, they can be a pleasant company and always enjoys a good conversation. Despite their age, they haven’t lost their humor. Their laugh is only a dignified chuckle, but they secretly enjoy amusing or interesting stories. Their curiosity still brings them to try new things, so they are not out of touch with the modern world. They have mixed feelings on technology: on one hand, they understand its utility, on the other, they aren’t always comfortable using it.

They enjoy collecting curious trinkets. Dante adores poetry and music, and they have tried to compose something in the past. They don’t consider their artistic works to be great, and as such, they rarely share them.
