So here are the headcanons

Animus is the spiritual guardian for the mutt manor, a series of abandoned buildings that are full of different creatures searching for shelter, for every creature in the manor, Animus gains a candle to show their life, the shorter the candle the less life they have. All who enter this manor are trapped forever, til their candle burns out.
