Sudden influx of new claws did not go smooth, the old ways of the village were no longer as common as during times long gone. Newcomers are wary of the many signs of superstitious old magics lased through the air, stone and very scales of the natives, complicating the must needed communication for the resource extraction.
Pete is assigned a guard for protection, which just implies a babysitter to find out who is the one claw to spread the unfavorable belief in all things arcane and fae. It is up to the anxious medic to compromise the investigation least the knights concerns rise high enough to call for cleansing of the place.
