Personality:

To be short, Gecko is tired. They're sick of being trapped in vast fungus infested caverns only to continue the cycle already set by their ancestors and wants to get off their home-planet, unfortunately, due to the fungus keeping them and their species alive they are unable to leave. As it is also highly infectious, to others and in dark corners, causing sickness and property damage. Small mushrooms growing in uncared for ship corners have been known to slowly split the ship apart while the Fugi is onboard, and Gecko despairs about it. They believe something more is going on, why else would they keep them all underground about it? and is a well-known conspiracy theorist among their community, which they further despise. They dislike going to school as it feels so small and repetitive and get good enough grades to pass by, they may as well do what the system asks of it until they find a way out of it. They find many annoying, but some annoying people are cute...unfortunately. In the case of Mink Millar who seems to want to pester them unrelentingly, they just gave up, letting the little woman pull them into her stupid schemes, complaining silently the whole way.

Fun facts n lore~:

• Gecko owns a pet leopard gecko, whom'st is about the size of a small dog, his name is Gink!
• Loves plants! Although there is a limit with what they can grow with the small amount of sunlight that leaks into the caverns
• Has an older brother named Curry, he doesn't come around much and lives elsewhere.
• The 'alien' symbol on their bandana is stitched there by themselves, as Fugi are not allowed to leave their caverns as their spores can be dangerous to other species causing sickness. It's been promised for decades that they'll find a cure for it but nothing has been done about it leading to this symbol to crop up, It stands for exploration of the universe and freedom for those who use it, but for most its just a cute little alien.
• Fugi are creatures that have lived underground in the fungal caverns for a few centuries now, after some humanoids crash-landed on their planet (which I have yet to name) and split into two separate groups, one being full of strong healthy individuals willing to face the harsh desert overworld and the other full of those who are sick injured or would not survive the desert and retreated underground. After setting up camp for the new settlement they discovered strange fungi and were able to bond with it, making the body more resilient and hardy, the fungi can be harmful to some and make their sickness worse or even kill them and some grew strange appendages or had significant changes to their body, growing mushrooms and spores from the skin, and sometimes for those unfortunate inside the body.
