Altair is an android originally developed to survey and analyze the radioactive, volcanic Gallilean moon Io by a team of eight female scientists in the Sol Society - all of whose last names he took, and who he thinks of as his moms. He now works as a pilot and co-captain of a ship for Roswell Co. after the Sol Society sold him off to them. He still send his mothers video letters, though, Diana and Mars are both a long way away from where they live, on Callisto...

Altair's demeanor can often come off as childish, with nothing but mischief on his mind. He loves to play the part of the dumb, poorly programmed, naïve AI who doesn't fully understand humans, and behaves as confusing as possible. Altair knows exactly what he's doing, though. His eyes and the one streak in his hair, which change color with his emotions, seem to indicate that Altair feels a lot more than he lets on. Not that anyone else can figure out what color means what, especially with the way he acts. He doesn't like to have heavy or serious conversations, he tries to keep everything light-hearted - at least, outwardly.

• Being programmed for surveying and analyzing alien worlds, he has a deep-rooted passion for exploration and learning. He likes to absorb as much knowledge as possible.
• His hair and eye color (the part that isn't black, at least) change color according to his mood. No one has figured out what color means what.
• Very heavy, very sturdy, and full of science equipment.
• In a lowkey prank war with Deimos.
