cameron benjamin macgyver / 15 / he/him
cameron is the older of the two macgyver children, and eldest son to salem and jennifer macgyver. he's a fairly normal, albeit rather mischevious, teenage boy. he's normally pretty laid-back and always down for some good fun, as well as being easily excitable which makes him quite the character. he's rather goofy and often fills the role of class clown. although he has a carefree attitude, cameron also has a bit of a temper. he does his best to keep control of his emotions, but he has a tendency to let his emotions control him, rather than the other way around. on the bright side, though, being a rather emotional person has made him very empathetic. he'll always try to help a hurting friend and be their shoulder to cry on. he's not a downright idiot, but he's also not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed... though happy and kind, he's not without his own struggles. he grapples with feeling inferior and unimportant, and often wonders if he'll ever measure up to what everyone wants him to be. cameron loves listening to music, and playing it as well. he almost always has a music player on hand, which is full of all kinds of music. cameron can also play guitar at a beginner level, and he would love to be in a band someday. on top of that, he's also a pretty decent singer. cameron's pastimes include playing video games, especially action-packed fighting games, and skateboarding. he has a kitten named widget, who he saved from abandonment.
starfield is a "normal" town, or at least, that's what everyone likes to pretend... cameron and his sister may are a part of their own made-up investigation team, the "starfield paranormal task force." the two of them spend lots of time together looking for ghosts, monsters, faeries, witches, and more. they're always getting into trouble, but it's all in good fun. they swear they've found proof of all of the magical and paranormal, but they've never really come face to face with any real magical entities... at least until they found nicholas, a boy who from another world, completely displaced in space and time. nicholas quickly came to be like a brother to the siblings, as well as the third member of their investigation team. though the adults lovingly chide the three, telling them that ghosts and monsters aren't real, the magical is closer to home than they think.
unbeknownst to cameron, he has magic blood, and the ability to move between worlds as he lies asleep. to him, though, it just seems like a vivid dream... pinboard
