Faridah

Faridah was once a member of an elite Octoling squad consisting of five other squadmates.
On the squadron, Faridah was the transportation expert. She knew how to drive and operate all sorts of vehicles from your usual Octarian mini platform to the rather formidable Octoseeker. In combat, Faridah was highly skilled at close quarters combat, favoring short range weapons like inkbrushes and rollers. Her favored weapons included the Octarian Painbrush and the Dynamo Roller.

Faridah formed a close bond with her squadmate, Inky, and her superior officer, Aberdeen. The three were inseperable, doing everything together, and remaining in close contact when they were apart. And then, Faridah became disillusioned.

Faridah, wanting to leave the stresses of battle and the expectations the Octarian people had of her behind, deserted. She traveled to the Deepsea Metro, wanting to travel to Inkopolis and start a new life. One where she wouldn't have to fight needlessly, but fight for fun and the knowledge she wasn't hurting anyone just for war. She took several pictures as she traveled across the Deepsea Metro towards her destination.

And then... she disappeared.

Faridah is Sanitized, her entire personality and soul gone, replaced with a bored, flat-voiced woman that finds no pleasure in anything she does save for furthering the 'prime directive', whatever that is. She runs a facility deep underground on an island in the middle of an artificial sea. The facility is called Plastic Shores Resort, and possesses everything a resort should have in a retro-vaporwave sort of style. Pools, spas, hotel rooms, it has it all, and it's surrounded by a beach. Only everything is washed out and just looks like a facsimile of what it should be, giving all who enter an off feeling.

Really, it should, because all who enter are about to be tested, and if found worthy, will soon become something bigger than themselves....
