• His current clothing style hasn't changed much, it's still based on post-revolution/Regency-era clothing.
• Abelino has a defensive personality when it comes to others. Repelling them via any means. He's adorned with a capelet, his old militia epaulets still attached as a pseudo-authoritative gesture. A constant scowl is etched onto his face that Benny and Donnie call his 'resting bitch face'. He rarely speaks if spoken to, giving a once-over with disdainful judgment, but over time his attitude softens enough for other company. Though this doesn't excuse the times he can be overly defensive and verbally hostile when meeting new people and potentially harming them. To him, it is best to be left alone. He's had enough of human company.
• When he was alive he served as a Brigadier General in the French Army. After a leg injury that left him with chronic pain and worsening walking, he retired early and was consumed with utter boredom, guilt, and physical pain. As a puppet now, he still uses a cane out of habit.
• Though he is not fond of people, he loves to weave exaggerated tales of his life and the things he has witnessed. He's quite cynical but a realist at heart.
• Canary met Cavortus back in the late 1750s. Canary vouched for Cavortus, giving him a cover job as the house architect who lived on-site. During this time, Abelino would help Cavortus buy materials and keep him company out of the guilt and social pressure he felt around his past colleagues in the regiment he commanded.
• Canary and Cavortus both fled France and traveled throughout parts of the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and North Africa. Eventually, they landed in America as stowaways on a cargo ship in the 1870s. (Fitting into the crates wasn't easy) They made their way further into the country and settled in Georgia's forests.
• He carries a wedding ring with him that Cavortus forged for him. It's tucked under his dress shirt. They both found a common ground via their disabilities and isolation which bloomed into a friendship and later a union.
