Name Ayumu Saitou
Alias KIRAPIKA ★ PURURUELLA
Gender Trans Woman
Pronouns she / her
Orientation Lesbian
Faction Citizen
Occupation Pop Idol
Netmate A♡I
APPEARANCE

due to her status as a pop star, kirapika ★ pururuella's hair and eye colours are always changing, since she coordinates them with that month's feature album — no one knows what they actually are, but she thinks that adds to the fun of it all !! her pupils are heart-shaped as a result of minor, cosmetic cybernetic enhancements. hey, you gotta look cute, right ?

she likes to dress in frilly, fluffy things. her favourite clothing textiles are smooth and silky. since she's a more cutesy sort of pop star, kirapika's clothes lean towards pastel palettes.

Personality

kirapika is stunning ! charming ! cute, and fun ! ♡

she loves to meet up with fans, talk about the latest trends and fads with friends, and is overall a perky, optimistic girl.
her heart is as soft as chiffon, eyes as bright as twinkling little stars … and her mind is always off writing the latest hit song. she's got a spring to her step — light and airy like cotton candy kisses.

kirapika is accepting of everyone — though you'll find, once you get to know her, that her grace is rather biased.
she prefers people who like the same things as her, and gets defensive when people disagree with her ideologies or preferences.
she can be rather petty at times, and is as much a diva as she is a cheery pop star. well, that's to be expected when you're a young adult, after all.

she's pretty secretive about her personal life, though that's mainly because she doesn't want her profession to impede on it. a lady has to keep her secrets, teehee ! ♡ ♡ ♡

while not devoutly edenic, kirapika believes wholeheartedly in the utopia that she calls home. she isn't nationalistic to jingoist degrees, but … well, she just likes this place that's accepted her so kindly. it's got kind people, kind helpers, and a kind ruler. in this beautiful garden where even the smallest of dreams can bloom, there's no way eden would never do anything wrong or unjust — … right ?

History

born as your average, nondescript citizen, ayumu was the kind of person to blend well into a crowd — too well, in fact. drab, dull, and pretty plain, she was the person who no one thought of last, but was most certainly never thought of first.
despite her best attempts, she never found herself able to stand out. but — but. that was alright, wasn't it ? because even though she was boring, even though she was lackluster, even though she was uninteresting, ayumu was loved.

ayumu's best friend was one hoa tran, a sweet girl who was much more robust, much more energetic — much more bright — than ayumu could have ever hoped to be.

while ayumu was more private and preferred quiet activities — reading, writing, doodling, hoping … — hoa was the spunky one out of the two — she was popular, amazing at sports, had the singing voice of an angel … but still, she never made ayumu feel inadequate, or lonely.

the two were … inseparable.

when they were 8, they were in the same class.
at age 10, they participated in a talent show together.
at age 12, they shared their first kiss.
at age 13, hoa exclaimed to ayumu, eyes shining: "let's be magical girls when we grow up! then everyone will know just how amazing mumu really is!" it's a simple exclamation, but ah, so too are children; for the next 6 years of her life, the ambition to become a girl as magical as hoa envisioned her to be was what drove ayumu to keep working, working, working —

because that's what hoa naturally was, for her: magical.
she coloured ayumu's dreary world, and though she wanted more from her life than to be the forgettable, small "ayumu", she was nonetheless … happy.

—— but only for so long.
they say it can take an instant to change your whole life. ayumu always shrugged off such a notion; how ridiculous it was, to think that one second could ever have such an impact on what was possibly one-thousand.
and then one day, she learns just how painfully true such a cliche saying can be.

"she fell down," ayumu hears, whispered between the cracks of the door. "apparently they couldn't save her in time. poor thing."
one moment, hoa was there.
the next, she was gone.

isn't fate so, so cruel?

and so, ayumu packed up that silly dream to become a magical girl. such things were for children, after all — and she had to learn the hard way what the world of adults was like.
ayumu continued her studies. she continued to write. she continued to read. she watched reruns of the cartoons she and hoa used to watch; but now the spot next to her was inhabited only by the dull pang of loneliness she felt in her heart every time she would turn around to point out something hoa would like — only to remember that she was no longer there.
not in the living room, not in her family home, not in this world.
gone, gone, gone.

'i'll grow up,' she thought in the first few months, 'because hoa can't do that anymore — i'll grow up.'
and then, one day, like a tidal wave, an epiphany hits:

instead of being the dull, boring "me",
i'll be the light that hoa once was in this world.

nd so, the idyllic dream she had once put away was hastily retrieved from the crevices of her mind. she'd be a magical girl, just like hoa wanted her to be.
but instead of being the drab, dull, plain, plain, plain girl that she once was — ayumu would be better. she'd be sweet and robust and energetic.

she'd be — just like — …

19, eden era.

for the first time, a young girl steps onto the stage of a hit music festival.
she is trepidatious.
she has never performed until now — not for a crowd this overwhelmingly large.
but this is something that she's been dreaming about for so, so long.

the lights are hot against her head. the crowd's screams make her feel like her voice will be drowned out, even with the use of the microphone gripped between her hands.
it is nerve-wracking. there are so many people here — all for her, someone who was once the most insignificant person in the world.

and then she thinks of the girl with whom she shared a class with when she was 8. whose hand she held at age 10.
who stole her heart at age 12.
who, even now, continues to be the reason why she stands here, for the past 4 years and counting.
… the girl she replaced her boring self with.

"Hello everyone!! I hope your dokidoki day will be kirakira shining ❤︎ !"/

kirapika ★ pururuella makes her shining debut.
and for the first time in a long time, ayumu looks to her side and no longer feels the dull ache of solitude.

hoa, i'm home.
