Kas

Kas is unusual for a forest spirit. Tall and dark, they often drew fear instead of relief for the lost travelers they attempted to help. The forest they came from had many thin, tall trees, and would often have a thick fog descend upon it, and the sight of Kas moving through the wood garnered them the reputation of being seen as a daemon rather than a beneficial, helpful spirit. This hardly deterred Kas though--anyone that knew them, understood them to be a friendly and welcoming creature regardless.

As society grew and the strength of forests waned, they moved out into the world of man and continued to be a supportive entity for both fellow spirits and man alike. They tend to favor areas away from dense cities, rarely straying too far from wooded areas.

They favor a punk/goth aesthetic to go with their naturally dark and spooky appearance--for them it's part of the fun and they love to dress classy as much as casual. They are an unabashedly friendly and wise creature that will always take the time to be there for friends and help those that call on them.

Moving to the towns and cities has moved them away from the forest magic they were born into. But urban centers still have their own type of forest magic, and becoming accustomed to that new magic has changed Kas's shape, reducing them from their original height of 14' down to 7' and making them less intimidating--enabling them to function in this new world.
