Secret Information:

Past (Split into 6 parts):

Part 1: Parents and Legacy

Daiani was born into an interesting family to say the least. Her father, Emerico, was the past Ultimate Lacrosse Player and had milked his earned title up until his mid 30’s where he got into an accident and had to retire, leaving him wealthy from his very long career but unsatisfied as he still wanted his perfect life to continue. A few years before his forced retirement, he had married a non-Ultimate woman named Chikako and once she got pregnant and Daiani was born, Emerico got the idea to continue his legacy by having Daiani become the Ultimate Lacrosse Player as well. Chikako, despite not agreeing with the extensive training and forcing a talent upon her daughter, was a nurturing pushover and allowed Daiani to attend Hope’s Peak Elementary.

Part 2: Hope’s Peak Elementary

Through the request of her father, Daiani was placed in Hope’s Peak Elementary. This school was divided into eight different sections (groups where kids would be split up based on their interests and then would be taught extensively to try and extract any talent from them). However, after each grade level, a kid could be moved to a different group based off changing interests, lack of talent, or natural talent in another section. The sections were Lil Ultimate Music, Lil Ultimate Drama, Lil Ultimate Art, Lil Ultimate Math, Lil Ultimate PE, Lil Ultimate Social Studies, and Lil Ultimate Homeroom. Kids who liked/were naturally talented at singing and/or playing instruments were put in Lil Ultimate Music. Kids who liked/were naturally talented at stagecraft and/or acting were put in Lil Ultimate Drama. Kids who liked/were naturally talented at math and/or science were put in Lil Ultimate Math. Kids who liked/were naturally talented at sports were put in Lil Ultimate PE. Kids who liked/were naturally talented at history and/or the way people interacted were put into Lil Ultimate Social Studies. And kids who excelled at talents in two or more sections were put into Lil Ultimate Homeroom. Now, Hope’s Peak Elementary gave many opportunities and a much larger chance to become an Ultimate in the future, so the price of getting in was not cheap. And who were the people who usually had money? The previously graduated Ultimates. Meaning the Ultimates would graduate, stick their kids into Hope’s Peak Elementary to force talent from them, and then their children were Ultimates themselves. The vicious cycle continued and continued for generations, really. A child of an Ultimate (or two) were assumed to become Ultimates themselves. The only problem was when two kids had the same talent. Two or more children with the same general talent had two options of what could happen to them. Either two specialized talents would be ripped from their general talent, say two children are both going after the talent of ‘dancer’. But then, it turns out they’re each best at the specialization of dancing like one is good at ballet, the other at ballroom dancing. One would become the Ultimate Ballet Dancer, while the other would be the Ultimate Ballroom Dancer. The other outcome was much more unfortunate. Some talents had no specifications to boil down into. Which means that the kids competing for a talent would become rivals, trying their best to become the Ultimate and get more opportunities and public attention than the other. Only one child would grow up to be qualified for the Ultimate title. But then again, sometimes the title was stolen away from the two or more kids who were fighting for one talent by some non-Hope’s Peak Elementary attender. Though cases like that were rare due to the ton of publicity which surrounded kids from Hope’s Peak Elementary just because of their shiny Lil Ultimate titles. Daiani was put into the Lil Ultimate PE talent group when she was five and her training got more and more vigorous. When she was 8, Daiani was asked by the school if she would like to change her Lil Ultimate title grouping seeing as Daiani seemed very interested (and maybe even talented) in fashion-oriented things. Her father immediately refused their offer and Daiani continued down the Lil Ultimate PE road.

Part 3: Living Conditions

During her time at Hope’s Peak Elementary, Daiani was shuffled around and had to work a lot in order to secure her Ultimate Lacrosse Player position. She had to exercise constantly at school and other forms of education were taught at a much less frequent rate. After school, she would practice with her father and wouldn’t get to see her mom much. It was usually only on weekends that she’d be able to spend more time with her mom. Chikako wanted Daiani to be able to have more of a real childhood experience but Chikako couldn’t stand up to her husband. They went on vacations often but Daiani’s practice continued to follow them wherever they went.

Part 4: The Divorce

In spite of Daiani’s training, Chikako continued to try and raise the girly daughter that she wanted. Daiani may look a lot like her father, but she’s definitely her mother’s daughter. Once Daiani took a liking and even favoring to the girly things her mother showed her, Emerico was livid. He immediately filed a divorce- Needing to have Daiani to continue to be to become the Ultimate Lacrosse Player. He got main custody of Daiani due to Emerico having enough money to buy the best lawyer. Daiani could only visit her mom on the weekends. So Daiani would practice and go to a school specially designed to force her lacrosse talent during the weekdays and would have fun with her mother and do more fashion-oriented things. Daiani understands what happened and chooses to ignore the sadness that is brought on by the separation that happened because of her and her father’s obsession with her future.

Part 5: Friendship

Down the path of Hope’s Peak Elementary, Daiani made a few friends but never really had the time to actually hang out with them out of school. But once out of Hope’s Peak Elementary and forced into a normal middle school, found someone she could relate to. A girl named Kishi became Daiani’s best friend. Kishi lived to be cute and Daiani admired her for it. Kishi was aiming for a talent that Daiani liked and maybe even wanted. They started hanging out all the time and were basically inseparable. The emerald green heart clip in Daiani’s hair was actually a gift from Kishi.

Part 6: Gullible

Daiani is a super gullible person and was used a lot by Kishi, who was quite a selfish person despite her appearance. Daiani was used by Kishi for money and for intimidation uses. Daiani was even convinced to steal from her dad when he wouldn’t give Daiani money to give to Kishi, Of course, Daiani never realized she was being used and continued to follow and be around Kishi even once both of them were accepted into Hope’s Peak Academy. And what Kishi even used it for was unknown.

6 Facts About Your Character:

-Daiani’s father was not Japanese at all- His parents moved from Africa to America to Japan. Emerico’s father was an American who traveled to Africa and met his wife. They lived in Africa for a while but Emerico’s father felt alienated so they traveled to America and lived there for a while but Emerico’s mother felt alienated and so they moved away to Japan so that neither of them would be alone in their alienation. Though Daiani’s grandma was only able to speak Porteguese and slightly broken English, Emerico’s father was able to speak Japanese, Porteguese, and English. Emerico then married Chikako (who was roughly full Japanese), making Daiani half Japanese, one-fourth African, and one-fourth American.

-Daiani has to switch between her dad’s huge house and her mother’s apartment. The two rooms she has in the separate houses are incredibly different. At her mother’s house, the walls are bright and colorful and has a lot of dresses that her mom bought her back when she (basically stealing from Emerico) had a lot of money to buy things. At her father’s house, the walls were faded and dark green. Her room is large but relatively empty.

-Daiani can’t sew well because her hands are too shaky for the needles. She can’t grip small objects very well.

-Daiani has a lot of shorts and shirts back at her dad’s place. But she only wears athletic clothing for practice or actual games. Emerico is furious that Daiani wears those useless dresses all the time but he can’t take them away or Daiani refuses to go to school.

-Kishi and Daiani met with a group of friends. Daiani had no connection to Kishi before the event and wa actually invited by one of her Lil Ultimate PE friends. She actually lost touch with them after meeting Kishi.

-Daiani doesn’t wear women’s lacrosse gear, seeing as how she trained with her father and was held to a men’s standard level of lacrosse playing. This tests her physical abilities a lot. In fact, many of Daiani’s teeth have had to be filled in or replaced due to the harsh hits.

Full Personality:

Daiani is a strong girl on the outside with her muscular body but us anything but independent. A pushover just like her mother, Daiani is gullible and a follower. Her father says this is good, this will help. She keeps walking, listening to her father demand she come closer to the edge. Daiani would never choose free will over listening to her father. She trusts him. He doesn’t mind that she likes to play dress-up, he doesn’t mind that she has only a small interest in lacrosse, he loves her because she’s his daughter. At the very edge, Daiani looks down and Emerico gestures for her to jump down. Trusting him until the end, Daiani does.
