Overview:
Kurt is an introspective and taciturn individual. Not the most easily befriended; he tends to keep to himself and built his home in the heart of a deep forest where he could maintain his lifestyle in peace. He was born on an island in the North Sea, situated between the south of Norway, the North of Germany and West of Denmark. The island was one of the few remaining places where trolls could live undisturbed by humans. Where they had once dominated Northern Europe the spread of humans and the influence of Christianity had forced such creatures to seek havens in the ever shrinking wilderness. Born to a Troll Father and human mother, Kurt's birth came on the heels of the industrial revolution and his youth was spent trying to balance between the stagnating culture of Trolls and the preservation of ancient traditions and the rapidly evolving human world. Young for a troll and old for a human Kurt's life subsists in an in-between state, constantly pulled between his two natures.
