Character Origin/Setting: Non-canon Wind Waker setting.
Backstory:
Avonia was thrust into rule far before her time by the tragic death of her mother, a strong and stoic queen. However, at the outset of Avonia's rule, she was far more concerned with the business intricacies of her people's new and blossoming Air-Mail industry than she was in her royal duties or inter-species politics. The dynamics of running such a large-scale communications operation ocean-wide intrigued her greatly, and most days she would spend her time and efforts with the niche players of the mail-moving game. They would talk distances, territories, and of the future of the business. She was inspired to see the long-term cultural effects of such a means of communication and even ventured for her wings several years before her peers simply to experience running some of the routes herself. As for her queenly duties closer to home, she primarily passed these weights of responsibility to her immediate family and advisors. Distancing herself from the discussions so far as to send her "final word" or "vote" on such matters by mail.
As she grew older, her island began to face great difficulty due to the return of Ganondorf. His growing presence began to fester and gave rise to dangers Avonias peaceful island had never faced before. Her eyes were suddenly opened to the disparity between the state of her tribe under her own rule compared to her mothers rule. Her absence had created a precarious state in the royal court and a pervasive feeling of uncertainty among her people. Her resolve grew and she began her journey to right the unstable state of her tribe and to foster hope and strength against the rising threat. As she endeavored to overcome her flighty nature the young Rito queen grew very compassionate. It became more important than anything that she be the best she could be for her tribe despite the circumstances. She resolved that despite lacking experience, she would become a fearless and empathetic source of healing within her tribe.
