How can you venture yourself in a hazardous environment without having any kind of rescue plan? That's the goal of that form! It's an emergency form created by a crazy corporation in the far future.
I had the idea after trying to think about some concepts about how to make characters be not completely dead after losing all their health. And so here come the idea of "spirit form", it's a advanced form created artificially, they keep the "soul" with some kind of quantum device and convert the brain and memories of the victim into gas, it's a bit more complex than that, but technically it's not really dead, it's alive! But with gas. People in that form can control the gas with some kind of micro-organic thing that permits the user to feel the space to know where he goes, control the gas temperature to up or down and also he can move using some kind of micro propulsion created by that microorganism too. It's far more complex than that but you've got the idea that's what matters.
