The two first meet when they were rather new to the corps as they were around the same age and both entered roughly around the same time. Quite taken with his upbeat dispostion, the two managed to become friends rather fast due to the missions that were paired together for and the sociable natures. For the two the friendship came naturally; Mifuyu found his cheerfulness refreshing and beheld him with a sense of admiration while Kyojuro like her desire to improve as a demon hunter. The two would spend time together when neither were busy, however they began to see each other less with Kyojuro eventually becoming a pillar and Mifuyu's own rise in rank. The two decided to exchange letters instance as a way to make up for not being able to see each other.
Due to her admiration she had for Kyojuro, Mifuyu would often use him as motivation to improve on herself though would never view him as a rival. While she would often trained on her own, Mifuyu eventually worked up the courage to ask him if they could train together if he had the time. She was greatly surprised with how strict he was as she never thought she would find someone as brutual as her father in terms of training. Nevertheless she did her best to stick through it as Kyojuro's training was helping her improve and his praise when she did do well certainly improved her mood. Despite this, Mifuyu did eventually end up 'tapping out' as she was having a hard time keeping up. This fact didn't stop her from visiting though regardless as she liked bringing meals for him and Mitsuri, someone she befriended through the training. Kyojuro always seemed happy at her arrival so it eased the fear of her intruding. This developed into a comfortable routine of her bringing the two meals for when they finished up and chatting about little things
It didn't take long for Kyojuro to realize that he was developing feelings for her. To him, she was kind and gentle; a relaxing presence that helped ease his mind away from his duties and generally someone he wanted to be around. This development wasn't something that bothering him and he quickly went about trying to convey this. Mifuyu was a bit slower to do so; confusing her feelings for admiration caused her not thing much of it and believed that her desire to be near him was simply because of that. Interepting his actions as those of his usual acts of friendliness, it took the pillar outright say that he was in love with her to have her perspective shifted on the matter and she confessed that she felt the same after composing herself. The two basically promised themselves to each other, hoping to wed once they were sure niether one of them were going anywhere. However Kyojuro would die leaving Mifuyu to carry that grief with her.
- A very affectionate couple, they are always touching each other in some shape or form.
- Kyojuro loves giving her forehead kisses since thier quick and easy to do. He tends to kiss her lips when neither are in a rush which flushters Mifuyu as they are rather slow and gentle.
- Sneaking kisses is also something he does a lot as he finds her reactions rather cute.
- When they have off time, the two like to stroll through the gardens at her home and chat.
- They also like to sit on the veranda and just enjoy each other's company. More often then not Mifuyu will sing a tune as Kyojuro has told her that he finds her voice calming.
- It always worries Mifuyu when Kyojuro comes to the butterfly estate injured, she knows he can handle himself well since she knew of his strength and the fact he's a pillar but the sight still makes her hands shake. It takes a lot of reassurance and soft words on Kyojuro's part to calm her down.
- Kyojuro like lifting her off her feet, her flustered reaction always makes him laugh.
- Also dating in the Gauken Au with Mifuyu being a student advisor and him the history teacher, they try to not be so affectionate at work but it's a badly kept secret as students have seen them kissing once.
