BIOGRAPHY
| Appearance | Very short for his age with short flat hair that he keeps swept to cover the right side of his face. Has a thin scar under his right eye, generally hidden under his hair, and prefers dark clothing to blend in with the night. Typically black jeans and a dark hoodie, LizBro sometimes hides in his hoodie pocket. No jewelry or other accessories as he views such things as too noisy and his horns start horizonal and then curve back up, left one has a small twist at the end. |
| Home | The treehouse was small, nestled in the crook of one of the smaller oaks, with a quiet stream carving a winding track below it. The walls were worn and faded, perhaps painted once but they now merely blurred into the upper branches, and a single roughly square window was the only visible access in and out. Inside another window was visible facing the tree trunk and almost pressed against it. Carefully insulated cables snaked down through that window and along the side to a small computer resting on the floor against one solid wall. Opposite the computer and against the other wall was a pile of thick straw and old tattered cloth where the resident currently rested. He was small for a troll, tiny almost, and curled into a tight ball with his lusus nestled in his black hair. The wind outside rattled against the branches, stirring the power cables that traced the tree up to the solar cells at the very top, and the computer moniter flickered to life. The troll blinked, his one visible eye glowing yellow as he focused on what had disturbed his nap. Well now that you're awake why not introduce yourself? |
| Personality | Your name is DARNEL AIOLOS and as previously mentioned you are a TROLL, whatever that means. Your lusus LIZBRO rarely explains anything which only makes your SOCIAL AWKWARDNESS worse. That seems mostly irrelevant though since you haven't actually been around another person in YEARS, not since you RAN AWAY and made this nice little hive BY YOURSELF. You have few real interests beyond SURVIVAL and you must HUNT DAILY to keep food for yourself and your lusus. Due to the nightly danger posed by OTHER PREDATORS you do most of your hunting NEAR SUNSET when it's just cool enough to venture from your hive. Once food is taken care of you spend most of the night ONLINE with your MAYBE PALS or EXPLORING in the TREETOPS. You are also an EXCELLENT CLIMBER and have a bad habit of DISAPPEARING when things seem risky.
Darnel is not good with people, he tries his best but he gets overwhelmed easily and has a tendency to flee when things get to be too much. He had very little socialization before he fled the city and absolutely none after unless you count the other predators. Animals and the forest he understands but people are an enigma he's not really sure he cares to figure out. He presents as a semi-feral creature, not fully wild but also not easily approachable, which only makes the nightmares worse. The nightmares only fuel his deeper fears though, whatever the 'darkness' might do the true terror comes in the fading; he's terrified of disappearing and being forgotten. |
| Backstory | Early Life
Darnel's earliest memories were with the 'gang', which was little more than a collection of street kids that stayed together for safety in the back alleys of Wrightsboro. The one he found himself with was the largest and at times violent and unpredictable, but they were something akin to family. Lizbro disapproved of them but he only ever shared that they were 'wrong'. Darnel's early sweeps with the humans were mostly quiet, while he didn't always like the things they did he never really had cause to argue. That is until one day something just 'snapped', what set him off is unclear but one minute he was standing in his quiet corner with a growing dread that that 'wrong' was getting worse and the next he found himself standing over the gang's leader with bloody claws flexed. That was the first time he had a brush with the 'darkness' that haunted him in his sleep and he fled from the city a few days later. He found the forest more comforting and deep in its heart he decided to settle down. Building his treehouse took several days and all the supplies he had managed to bring with him but it was worth it in the end. It was years later, after he settled into a simple routine of hunting and living, that he first started poking around the internet. At first nothing interested him but eventually he made a connection, maybe a real friend, and he started chatting with his new buddy somewhat regularly. He tended to ignore messages from other people but he was content and his new friend never questioned his strange tendencies or random disappearances. Life was simple and for a time he could ignore the nightmares that kept him up during the day and that other world he'd sometimes catch glimpses of the few times he could sleep.
