Ray was created in 2010 for the dA OCT Helios Conference, as a substiute team member for one of my trainers other pokemon from UBF. I’ve always loved Lanturn and I originally wanted to use him for UBF, but the way it set up made me think a fish pokemon would be impractical to keep on the team (yeah I have… no idea why I thought it’d be an issue tbh). Changed my mind for HC though and I’m glad I did.
RAY IS ACTUALLY one of of those characters who I rarely use, but who still became a favorite side OCs really quickly. Possibly because I was able to debut him with a gijinka meme and it helped me flesh outy his character, which was a nice contrast with Valor at the time. Only wish I had the chance to actually use him in an OCT round, but I digress
I cant say that I’m very used to writing as Ray, only done some of it with him, but he’s fun to work with when I do. He’s not active in any groups right now, and while he’s being developed in other AUs it’s not a main focus right now, but I still love any chance to use him. His physical design has been pretty consistent since his creation, and include:
Amber/orange eyes; shaved head-style (no hair); mesomorph / "swimmer's body"
