>Can create ‘moss golems’ though. Really they’re structures of rock/wood/whatever other inanimate thing she can get her hands on, that she’s grown her moss over and it sort of infests it so she can control it? Sometimes this freaks people out. Would use them to scare people away when she lived alone. Also she grows long hanging moss that can tangle people up very badly. >Also very, very good at making magic potions and stuff too!
>Her dad was a magic knight, she kind of remembers? But he died when she was very little and they were living in a city in a much nicer house.
>Her mom moved them out into a little cottage way out in the woods shortly after her father’s death.. Why were they out there? Why did her mom not want to live in town? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ She never asked. Mom didn’t want to say.
>Mom made magic potions and sold them, and what’s how they made a living. Taught Keithia everything she knew about them. But her mother had frail health,and she seemed to start to fade away after a while. Keithia was basically looking after both of them toward the end.
>Got her grimoire a few months before her mother died. Only went into a nearby town to get it at her mother’s encouragement. Since most of the town didn’t really know who she was, they were curious about her and there were so many people that she felt overwhelmed. Especially once a bunch of them decided that they wanted to talk her. Basically ran home as fast as she could.
>After her mother’s death she really sure what to do, so she just kept making potions and selling them like she had been doing before? She would take them to an older man in a nearby town, and he would pay her for them then sell them to people himself. Keithia would try to make her trips out to drop off the potions at night, because she really didn’t want to be seen.
>Crowds and people in general just really scared her? A lot of social anxiety and no idea how to deal with it. Generally gets along with animals though.
>Lived alone for a few years. She couldn’t remember if her mother had any other relatives, and didn’t want to leave to find out.
>Then one day a wounded man managed to stumbled onto her little corner of the woods. He begged her for help, and said he was being chased by a ‘really strong and scary guy’. She was terrified herself, but she wanted to help? And knew that was what her mother would do. So she healed him and set out her own defenses. The man’s pursuer ended up ripping through her magic.
>Surprise, hi there Yami. It turns out the man that had come to Keithia begging for help had made the astoundingly bad decision of trying to rob the Black Bull base and managed to piss off Yami. After a lot of yelling, and confusion, Keithia realized that she miiight have accidentally helped a criminal. She hadn’t even realized anyone was living in the weird house over yonder before now. Part of her own house ends up destroyed and the thief attempted to take her hostage before it was over.
>She apologized profusely to Yami once everything had settled down. Yami just asked if her magic was the reason the guy had been so lively. When she answered yes in confusion, Yami told her that she could apologize by working for him. Keithia was too stunned to answer at first, but when Yami got all scary while asking if she was refusing, and she got to scared to actually refuse.
>Yami dragged her back to the base and she was now a magic knight by accident. And didn't even know it.
>Seriously, she thought she had been forcefully recruited into a shady gang for about a month because she was to scared and intimidated to talk to anyone. Yami wasn't exactly clear on anything. 'Hey I think my magic knight squad needs someone with healing magic because they're all idiots who cause trouble' would have clarified a lot.
>She’s mostly used to the Black Bull members by now? Even if she still finds most of the intimidating. She does talk to them though! Just...kind of hides for a couple days when they get new people until she works up enough courage to say hi. Or Luck and Magna do something stupid again and she gets called out to heal someone. Whichever happens first.
>She still makes her tips out to sell her potions! Because she feels she owes it to the town. Finral helps her with her deliveries now. She repays him by making him special tiny bottles of perfume that he tries to use as gifts for the girls he’s trying to flirt with.
>Vanessa bothers her for hangover cures a lot, so Keithia has become something of an expert with those.
>Still finds large crowds absolutely terrifying, and went into a panic attack while in the capitol once, but she’s trying to get better. She’s generally okay as long as she has someone she’s familiar with around her right now.
>Mostly finds ingredients for her potions herself, though occasionally she gets help from some of the other Black Bulls. Once, after a fruitless search for a particular plant she needed, she woke up the next morning to find the Gordon had brought her an armful of it. She thanked him.
>He’s kind of started bringing her a lot of weird stuff after that. She thinks he’s trying to be helpful and bringing her stuff that she might be able to use for her potions, but some of it is really weird and it’s really hard to tell with him.
>”Mm...me a witch? Oh, no. I...I’m not from that village. Th..that’s Mm..miss Vanessa. W..would you like to talk to her instead?”
>Speaks clearer around the people she’s actually close to.
