more often than not, blair isn't entirely sure who she is. like her gender [and her shape] she feels as though her personality is fluid and always changing; she isn't always certain what she is feeling or how she might react to that, and sometimes it scares the life out of her. the only thing she can be sure of is that she's doing her best; blair cares very deeply about other people and will jump through hoops to bring happiness to other people. she has a pretty good sense of humor and knows how to get a laugh, often 'studying' comedians or at least funny people to understand how to make others laugh. her desperation to please also means she's generally good-natured, and she often has a genial smirk on her face which reveals this aspect of her personality. blair is occasionally awkward and occasionally confused, but for the most part can come off as cool as a cucumber when she needs to.

the times when blair isn't sure who she is or what she wants is when she gets overwhelmed. she's anxious all the time, and while she's good at hiding it, she's often emotionally fraught with unsureness and doesn't know what to do next. when she begins to get overwhelmed, she loses track of her purpose. blair becomes hyperfixated on the things that cause her anxiety, or sometimes she tries to distract herself as much as possible, which can lead to even more problems. she's sometimes obsessive, sometimes doesn't care, sometimes a lot of things that are seemingly contradictory. her strong emotions make it difficult to stay in control when she starts to feel this way and it can make it hard for others to deal with. typically, she will isolate herself from other people at times like this, not necessarily because she doesn't want them to have to experience her, but because she is worried that they will hate her due to her uncontrollable state.

when blair reaches the absolute extremes of her emotions, this is when bad things start to happen to her. as a shapeshifter, her form can change at will. that being said, the more extreme her emotions become, the more likely she is to lose that control. when she is severely angry or severely depressed, her form mutates and shifts, growing randomly depending on how she feels. for instance, in times of anger blair is more likely to sprout teeth, horns and longer claws. when she is anxious or afraid, she tends to grow bigger and gain more mass and body parts, as if to scare off an attacker. it can be very difficult for her to regain control of this form, and it often takes the help of a good friend or a menial task to lift her out of these free-mutations.
