Profile
Envoy of Retribution
Asgier was created at the birth of the universe as an envoy, a creature of both mortal and celestial heritage, whose only purpose is to serve the gods. Asgier was created the Envoy of Retribution. His task, and the only purpose he has ever known, is to seek revenge on those who wrong the gods. He is sent by the greater spirits to enact revenge on the mortal plain. Asgier's aggression and bloodthirst is endless; it is only the will of the gods that prevent him from destroying all in his path. He is, however, duty-bound above all, and could not step out of line or disobey orders. Despite his bloody path, he is ultimately a force to restore order in the world, and thus his purpose is good despite his methods.
Drawing Notes: The skull that makes up Asgier's face is feline in form, while his body is that of a large canine. He has one feather embedded in his mane, which appears on his right side only.

Personality
Asgier has one drive in this world. He has one purpose, one draw, only one goal in his entire life: to kill whoever the gods order him to attack. He is the guard dog of the greater gods; a creature known only for his violence and boundless aggression. Created as a celestial Envoy for only one purpose, Asgier was not granted in his birth the ability for anything more in his life than the job to which he was assigned. He knows nothing more than his role, and does not question for one moment each task to which he is assigned. He is not here for bloodlust without reason or for rest: so long as there are mortal souls who have wronged the gods, as long as there are gods seeking vengeance and the spilling of mortal blood. Asgier will remain necessary to the order to the mortal and celestial realms.
The only skill which Asgier knows is the kill. He is the legendary hunter, the one from whom no prey has escaped, the being who grants no mercy nor second chances. As such, the only thing which brings him joy, a joy felt for completing his task, is the act of killing. If he were left unrestrained, Asgier would kill all in his path. This is not due to any overt hatred for the mortals, but only due to the rules of his own life and creation. If it were not for the gods keeping Asgier on a leash, he would vanquish all in his path as a matter of instinct alone.
However, Asgier, despite his endless strength and ferocity, is bound by duty above all else. He was not created to destroy without reason; he was created to ultimately keep order. He has a sharp eye for what order means in the mortal realm and will bring perceived slights which he observes to the gods, requesting their permission to destroy the perpetrator. He easily loses a sense of purpose without the need to act on behalf of the gods and the gods, knowing this, are careful to keep him busy, knowing that there will always be plenty of mortals in the wrong who can fall to his sharp claws.

Summary
Appearance
Asgier is an imposing figure, to say the least. He is an Envoy of Gods, a species as old as the deities themselves who have worked in service to the spirits in their interactions with the mortal world. He appears as an ancient figure. Where his head would sit he instead has a skull, devoid of expression and emotion. He has a long mane. His well-build body resembles that of a large canine, such as a Tibetan Shepherd. Overall, he is extremely well-muscled and fit; built and blessed as a killing machine. His skull is painted with the colors of war, runic markings blessing his body with greater power. He is able to both fade into the spiritual world and manifest in the world of mortals at will, and can travel the mortal realms though shadows. He always walks with head raised and with a sense of divine purpose.
Creation of the Envoys
For as long as there have been deities in the spiritual plane, there have been envoys. The Envoys were created of the same spiritual force as both the very fabric of time and the spirits of the gods themselves, though they were also created sourcing matter; making them a part of both the spiritual and mortal planes. Asgier was one of these envoys. Each envoy was assigned a different task in service to the world order, created to serve one greater purpose on behalf of the universe, acting for the gods in the mortal world. They were given the free ability to travel between the planes and the enact influence in both worlds, a power in which the gods themselves were limited.
Asgier was one of the more violent Envoys created during these first moments. His purpose was not preservation of the mortal realm, as many of his kind were tasked with, but instead for their control. He was born with endless bloodlust and stamina, and given the task of killing. The gods would be wronged by the mortals; this much was clear when the mortals were gifted free will. As such, the gods needed to have control over who might have wronged them. Their own powers would not always be enough, and that was where Asgier was to come in. His bloodlust was controlled only by his purpose: retribution on behalf of the gods. When the gods were wronged, it would be up to Asgier to seek revenge on the god’s behalf.
Early in his existence, there was less for Asgier to do. The mortals were only somewhat aware of the existence of the spiritual plane, and thus they could not purposefully wrong the gods. However, awareness grew over time through the gods’ interactions with the world. The more they looked down at the world, the more mortals looked up at the gods, and the more who did wrong. Asgier became the greatest hunter of the spiritual plane. There is no being in either plane more determined than he is, who hunts with more stamina or determination. Once Asgier has been given a target, it is impossible for the target to escape. His aim is perfect. His only satisfaction is the kill. He is the perfect envoy, his purpose being the only thing he was designed for .
