a gemsona that sorta became their own character? Kyanite can use geokinesis, so they were tasked by Blue Diamond to help with kindergarten construction by digging holes with their power. they've existed for longer than they can remember, just digging holes for Blue Diamond, but when Rose Quartz shattered Pink Diamond on Earth, Blue's forces fled and accidentally left Kyanite behind. they were confident that their diamond would come back for them, her faithful worker, so they stayed in the kindergarten they'd been working on, waiting thousands of years for their diamond to come back. eventually the Crystal Gems found them sitting motionless at the very bottom of the kindergarten, and after attempting to explain what happened to Blue and her forces (that they had no intention of coming back to Earth, other than to attack it), Ky lashed out at them, not wanting to believe that they'd wasted thousands of years waiting for nothing. after losing the fight, they sat in their gem for a long time, recuperating. when they finally emerged to face the Crystal Gems again, Ky attempted to befriend them, but only lasted for about a week before they came to the conclusion that they needed to figure who they were without their diamond first before they tried to become a rebel. now they just sort of... wander around the Earth, trying to figure out a new purpose to their life
