Finnick

Personality

Despite being betrayed by the temple and left for dead, Finnick always remained devoted to the service of others, retaining a sincere and benevolent personality received well by all, even those whose hearts have turned cold. Sometimes he will look off as if he's lost in thought, most likely recollecting the time he spent at the temple with the other priests and with his lover, Gwenivere. He has an outwardly kind, almost mother-like demeanor as he tends to the public wherever he goes. No matter what, he will always defend what is right, even if it costs his life.

Background

Finnick joined the temple a short time after Gwenivere joined, attracted by the idea of serving others. At first, he and Gwenivere were silent about their like for one another, for they felt it was forbidden to have such feelings for one another. However, Gwenivere broke the silence and made the first move, leading to a relationship that would eventually turn romantic. After the new, corrupt archpriest was instated, Finnick started taking risks to sabotage the council's plans and agenda, which involved a slow purge of the more devout followers of the temple. Unfortunately, Finnick was caught and sentenced to exile. Gwenivere, on the night before Finnick was set out to leave, promised that he would find Finnick when he broke free from the council's grasp, and that he would marry him. It has been three years since Gwen made that promise, but Finnick never gave up hope, and prayed that he would one day reunite with the love of his life.
