Dimitri

Royal necromancer (and general magical researcher, although he and Yurian keep that under wraps) to the Loptyr thone, as well as Yurian's husband. The father of Yurian's children, via magic bullshit. Is artifically prolonging his life through magical means.

Dimitri is as evil as his husband, just in different ways. Where Yurian is all about extravagance and being an over-the-top saturday morning cartoon character in his villainy, Dimitri is quiet, cold, and ten times more likely to shiv you in the back and leave you bleeding in an alley over minor disputes. His relationship with most people can be summed up as "uninterested"; he dislikes socializing and has a hard time with caring about anything outside of his research or, more recently, Yurian and their children. Of the two, while Yurian is the more immediately obvious danger, Dimitri is usually the one you need to worry about--he doesn't concern himself with little things like "codes of honor" or "a fair fight". His cruelty is usually the more passive cruelty of some someone who just doesn't care rather than active sadism--although seeing someone who hurt or impeded him in some way suffer is something he enjoys.

Dimitri is driven primarily by the pursuit of knowledge and, secondarily, power. Even his relationship with Yurian started out as a power grab--he recognized that dragons hold a lot of knowledge and being a dragon's favored pet would have a lot of advantages for him. It eventually turning from a purely physical relationship into one built on affection and respect was both unexpected and something that gave him a lot of sleepless nights at first--he doesn't handle feeling any kind of strong emotion well. His loyalty, while very rarely given, is so unmatched that those unfamiliar with him suspect mind control (there is none, Dimitri is just very... intense, about things he cares about).

He is currently working day and night to undo Yurian's curse and restore him to power. He is deeply, deeply unhappy that Yurian was so wounded, and is nursing an ugly grudge towards those that harmed his husband.
