Avaxius

Cold and methodical - were it not for his relative weakness compared to other demons, Avaxius would be a perfect candidate for anyone's contract. His somewhat snarky attitude towards his contractors' foolish behaviour aside, his goal-focused approach is ideal for those who want to be quick and efficient. In spite of that, however, Avaxius is actually a being whose existence is utterly lacking in meaning. He doesn't actually have a higher goal or a purpose - he's more of a factory worker, shifting from one contractor to the next, going through the motions. His goals are in actuality those of his humans and without them, his existence lacks any substance. His serious behaviour and rough exterior hide a much softer interior, which he doesn't show to pretty much anyone. He gets easily attached to people, which is part of the reason why all of his contracts before Venicus's always ended so swiftly - he simply didn't want to spend enough time with his humans to get emotionally attached to them. Another side of himself that he hides is his inferiority complex. He disguises it behind his snarkiness and boastful posturing. He loves being praised, especially for his powers, since his weakness has always been a sore spot for him. Because big outbursts of emotion are highly uncharacteristic of him, most people see Avaxius as a disgusting demon who doesn't care for his contractors beyond mere food.
