He is/was from a tribe that attacks and steals from smaller villages. It's a fairly large tribe, so they are able to do this without much risk. Moloch is an extremely talented warrior and highly regarded in the tribe, but many of his actions were dictated by the rest of the tribe aka the people who helped raise him. Even his own thoughts and beliefs were heavily influenced by the group. He was basically just a puppet to them. At first Moloch completed his rite, but had little interest in a mate, but one day he felt empty and left the tribe in search of filling that hole. He found a toskal and fell in love, leaving his old warrior life behind. He became a father and was happy with his new life. His tribe (who are highly controlling) knew that if they killed his mate, he would feel obligated to return back to the tribe, so they killed her unbeknownst to him. Moloch returned just as predicted, but soon enough found out that they were the ones who killed his mate. He kills the tribes leader after careful planning (and ofc after hiding his son away) and now he wanders for a fitting place to call home. The only problem is that Moloch lacks a trustworthy aura and is clearly battle scarred.
